Can't change aircraft.cfg windows 7

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I am trying to change the aircraft.CFG in FS9 on windows 7 however it always says access denied everytime I try and overwrite it. For example when trying to add the GSS livery to the PMDG MD-11. Alot of people say its to do with the administrtor or something, but I I dont know how to change it to the administrator. Please help meAlexei

As Dan says on the full name...Alexei, This happens sometimes with Windows explorer regardless of rights sometimes. A fresh reboot often sovles the Access Denied, or even closing your folder window and renavigating there.

Disable UAC, that will slove the issues :)

If turning off UAC is as mysterious to you as running things as Administrator, the forum search facility often helps: forum linkSee also this threadCheers,Brian

If you don't want to disable UAC, just drag the aircraft.cfg file to the desktop, open it, make the changes there, and save it. Then return the file to the relevant folder.
