February 16, 201016 yr Hi everyone, I am trying to change the aircraft.CFG in FS9 on windows 7 however it always says access denied everytime I try and overwrite it. For example when trying to add the GSS livery to the PMDG MD-11. Alot of people say its to do with the administrtor or something, but I I dont know how to change it to the administrator. Please help meAlexei
February 16, 201016 yr As Dan says on the full name...Alexei, This happens sometimes with Windows explorer regardless of rights sometimes. A fresh reboot often sovles the Access Denied, or even closing your folder window and renavigating there. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
February 21, 201016 yr Have you disabled the UAC yet? This can cause many problems with editing files or even installing patches.Mike S. Supporter GhostRecon.net | AGgReSsion WhiteKnight77's Place Mike Shannon
February 21, 201016 yr If turning off UAC is as mysterious to you as running things as Administrator, the forum search facility often helps: forum linkSee also this threadCheers,Brian
February 22, 201016 yr If you don't want to disable UAC, just drag the aircraft.cfg file to the desktop, open it, make the changes there, and save it. Then return the file to the relevant folder.
