Hi Folks. When I get to the part in page 39 of the J41 PILOT_TUTORIAL pdf regarding the FMS, it will not power up when I press the ON button. Any ideas?Regards...Alba

I would also ask if it powers up in the cockpit, or if he is trying throug the pop-up. If it powers up in the cockpit, but not the pop-up, its the SP2 issue again.

As a newcomer I experienced a few issues getting the JS41 up and running but all problems seemed to be resolved by1) ensuring the FSX was installed with SP1 and SP2 (reinstalling if necessary), and2) starting FSX in Administrator mode

Hi Folks. Thanks for the input. Sorry about the name thing Dan, I forgot. It's beeen a while since I've been in the Forum due to illness and RW stuff. I am getting to the part where I click the ON button in the VC, nothing happens at all Dan. There is no self test screen or a yellow box. I then opened up the pop up FMS window. Still nothing. My FSX version is 10.0.61472.0 with SP2. Is there a problem with the JS4100 and SP2?I have Ernie Alston's ISG1 gauges so I am familiar with this type of FMS. Regards...Ken

Ken, full name please. Some odd problems, and the inaction of 2D popups (ramp manger etc) have been resolved by reinstalling SP2. I don't think your problem is in that category but it is an easy thing to do.Run the JS41 installer again and select repair for both the aircraft and the C++ redistributal(s).What is you OS?

Hi Ken, Not sure it matters does it? I have heard things, but I had XPSP3 with FSX SP2. Maybe you can refresh my memory, but I honestly don't remember what the problem with the two were.
