Audio Environment for FSX Poll...

Featured Replies

I am most curious; How many of you fellow AVSIM'ers that are having the FSX in-flight freeze, are also users of Audio Environment for FSX, put out by Flight1?Just wondering if there could be some issues with its use. I do know that I have read that some users have experienced a BEX crash brought on by the AEMODULE.dll (the module that is put in by Audio Environment to flag A.I. in FSX)If you have both the FSX freeze/hang AND are a A.E. user, please take this poll, by stating so on this thread. I want to see if there possibly could be some sort of angle here to come to the root/cause or one of them...Mitch

Hi Mitch,i don't have freezes or the Audio Environment add-on, but if you think that the add-on is causing your freezes why don't you disable the add-on?If the add-on is loaded via a DLL you can disable the entry in the DLL.XML or if the add-on is loaded via an EXE you can disable the add-on in the EXE.XML.

Somehow a lot of people believe that the freeze is related to possibly a sound issue in FSX. I was just interested to see if everybody that has this particular program enabled, ALSO has the freeze happening. I remembered that I had purchased this program just around the time that my freezes started to show up. Coincidental? I'm interested to see if anybody also has this on their system AND has the freeze happening. Just another lead to possibly ferret out. This problem is like trying to find a short in your car's electrical system. It's interesting that some have it, and as you say, you so far do not. There has GOT to be some sort of common denominator that we need to identify. From what I am reading on the Net...this problem with FSX is starting to show up...and is HUGE! I also never had this animation with sound freeze until about 30 days ago. I'm looking at all possibilities as well as the RealTek driver, if in fact that was a cure, or by reinstalling it, did I clean up something else. Nobody to date as the rubber-stamp solution. We're all trying though to parse through to a sure-win solution/finding for all affected.Mitch

Have Audio Environment and NO freezes whatsoever.

Mitch,You've already opened a thread few hours ago about your sound issue.I'm locking this one and invite the folks to continue this discussion in your previous post.http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=279203As I already asked you, please refrain from opening too many threads about the same topic!(I know and appreciate your enthousiasm though):--)))Thanks for understanding Mitch
