March 18, 201016 yr Hi,I have installed My traffic X and have noticed the removal of the default airlines and addition of real world airlines which is great. However, some major airlines aren't showing up; particularly United airlines, American, US Airways and Southwest. Does anyone know why this is? I have also flown to the hubs of some of these airlines, (Ohare and DFW) and it's like a ghost town at these airports - very few planes at the gates and hardly any coming in for landing. Would love some advie on how to remedy this. Thanks in advance. My specs are Windows 7 64-bit, SP1, FSX Acceleration, Intel i5 2410 processor @ 2.3 GHz, 8GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 6490M, Mobile Intel HD Graphics, Add Ons: PMDG 747-400, UTX North America, UTX Europe, My Traffic X, FS2Crew PMDG 747, FSPassengers
March 18, 201016 yr I have the latest MyTraffic X 5.2b Pro and always have a good level of traffic at airports, depending of course on the slider position. At KJFK for example I have quite a few AA liveried planes, so I think you may have an incomplete installation. The best place to get support fot this is the MyTraffic forum at simflight.com. The developer Burkhard is always very helpful. Which version are you using? If it's MyTraffic 2010 you'll probably have to go the Aerosoft forums for support. Actually the thing I like about MTX is the fact that it's a no-fuss, fire-and-forget traffic solution that always gives me plenty of traffic wherever I go, be it airline or GA. So it's quite surprising that you are missing some traffic.
March 18, 201016 yr Commercial Member Also which traffic schedule are you using? The 2009 schedule has the most traffic and say compared to the 2000 schedule. If you are set at say 25% traffic with the 2009 schedule to get almost the same amount with the 2000 schedule you'd have to bump your traffic slider up to around 40% or so. March 18, 201016 yr Try a flight starting in Vegas and move airline density up to 50%. There's always Southwest planes on the tarmac in Vegas. Check it out and if you still don't see any, then you may have an incomplete install as mentioned.
March 18, 201016 yr After installing MTX, make sure you go to the program and click on the menu "manage FSX". There check the FSX.CFG area and make the changes to add MTX click and save. Restart everything and you should have traffic galore.Bob
March 18, 201016 yr If you have added any traffic bgl's and those traffic bgl's are the old ttools style then they will interfer with MTX. If you have added anykind of ai traffic prior to installing MTX the first think I would do is to go disable all the ai traffic bgl's that you installed, if any. The easiest way to do this is to put a .passive at the end of the file, trafficxxx.bgl.passive.There is a tool over at the simflight MTX forum that will find most traffic bgl files.Rod
