May 22, 201016 yr Author Commercial Member If only that were true :( AlDisclaimer: Al is not on the payroll at CR-1 (what payroll??? you mean people actually do this for or make money at..???) Heck, as far as I know he has never even begged for a Beta-team job to get those fabled sneak peeks...Sorry you had to go the customer service route Al, but we do try to have smiling customers. BTW, the "IFR training window cover" has been discussed as a 'feature' for future projects :( Seriously, it IS an older model but from most accounts has ported-over well into FSX. The Flight model was refined by an experienced airline pilot and is as close as could be determined without access to a real one for him to fly. Interestingly enough, during the production history of the -18 modifications were made to the angle of incidence of the tailplane and I can't say exactly which source data was used in the modelhttp://www.beechcraftheritagemuseum.org/te...model_18_specs/Rob "To some the sky is the limit. May 22, 201016 yr If I come over a bit partisan in favour of this aircraft, it is only because I think it's a very good package, not least considering the price is, frankly, next to nothing, which is certainly welcome in the current financial pinch. Despite it being a port over, it works pretty well in FSX and of course in FS9 too, which makes it suited to both camps, and that too adds value, as if it needed value adding to it LOLAl Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
May 24, 201016 yr How does this compare to Cliff Presley's version of the SimTech Beech 18 that was freeware? Is it the same model from before or is it all revamped and remodeled? Supporter GhostRecon.net | AGgReSsion WhiteKnight77's Place Mike Shannon
May 24, 201016 yr Apparently Cliff Presley gave the dev of this CR1 Beech 18 his modification of the older SimTECH Beech 18 to improve this one. Some of his exterior textures are included in the package too.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

I can barely get a water for $3.50 in NYC so this was a no brainer LOL!!!Always like to support the dev's still supporting FS9,-Paul Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
May 25, 201016 yr I purchased this as well. Who could pass up a bargin @ $3.25? (OOPS! $3.75)I did notice one thing though, there is no gauge to set the trim and the trim wheel is not functional nor does it have a flag indicating the trim setting as has Milton's.Maybe I missed something. I wrote Tom and am waiting a reply. How do I access the "classic" panel?Jim D.
May 25, 201016 yr You should have a big folder with a bunch of extras in it, and you will find the alternative VC stuff in there.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
May 25, 201016 yr Still worth a punt for the normal price in my opinion.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

If you have Cockpit Tool Tips turned on (Options/Display/aircraft) the mouse-over popup shows the amount of trim dialed in and changes as you roll the wheel (I use the scroll-wheel on my mouse). Some versions/paints have the Classic VC while others have the 'modern'. Try the different versions and you'll see..If you have one that you'd like to swap, the line in the .cfg file is[fltsim.1]title=CR-1 Software.Ltd Beech 18 N-2958sim=simTECH_Beech18model=panel=1 -where "1" is the modern panel and 'nothing' is the "classic" "To some the sky is the limit.
