Hi Bill,Well, you could try and adjust your monitor settings (lower brightness). If this does not work or is not an option, you could try a free addon called ENB and make adjustments to darken your night sky. Keep in mind this addon may drop your frame rates. If you want to take a look at ENB, here is the file location: http://enbseries.webs.com/downloads.htmAside from getting a darker night sky, you will also get bloom effect.Hope this helps.

Hey Bill, try using Nicks settings for your first try. The link is below.http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=32482Also you may want to adjust the night value below to 30 as 35 is really dark. By default Nick has it set at 35.COLORCORRECTION]DarkeningAmountNight=35 +/- 5-10 at mostAside from changing the Night value, his settings are pretty solid while amking the outside look better but not over done.

I always thought the moonless nights were too bright so I tweaked out the ENB so that it doesn't kill frames but makes a really nice silky black moonless night. Disable the bloom at nice, ramp up the dark and the cockpit won't be too dark while it is no horizon black outside.Really cool doing carrier landings that way at night.
