Engines cutting off during flight

Featured Replies

Has anyone had this problem in FS2004 or FSX, when I am flying the engines just shut down, sometimes,it happens on final approach, or during flight.Curtis[email protected]

It might be a bit more helpful to tell us what plane you are flying...Then again, a quick check of the fuel remaining might provide a hint as to why your engines are cutting out... sounds like you're running out of fuel...:)Andrew

Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)

1- be sure you have enough fuel on boardAPU time(dept/dest)+taxi(dept/dest)+cruise+45minutes holding+alternate airport+30minutes holding=your total fuel2- be sure there is no failure (settings) on FS9/FSX3- be sure no using only batteries whole flights (instead generators)

I'm guessing you have something assigned to the "mixture" axis and when you jiggle or slightly move it, it goes to "cut off" and the engine turns off. Check each and every joystick for the assignment.
