April 28, 201016 yr I am presently in a flight outbound from Detroit, MI------------------->Phoenix, AZ, and with REX2004 SP2 (with wave animation fix as well) and ASE (latest build), I simply don't see anything 'less' than what I would see enroute in the real environment. With GE PRO II down below, FS9 is simply amazing as a 'heavy iron' platform. 1. ASE (latest build)2. REX2004 Extreme SP23 G.E. Pro II4 My Traffic X v5.2b......punches out 'real world' with force.Absolutely satisfied, and that is an understatement. 60 CONSTANT FPS with the above programs kicking it with each other. I have one h*ll of a complex sky at altitude today, and it's all passing the wing at that sooooooooooooooo smoooooooooooooooth 60 FPS (locked in the sim)! It doesn't get any better than this, simply because it can't! A.I. flying past my flight line at that constant 60 fps makes them also 'as real as they can get'. They MOVE OUT...at 60 FPS! :( FS9 for FL's, Heavy Iron, and complex cockpitsFSX for fabulous G.A. with complex cockpits.I wouldn't have either of the above NOT on my system as a duo. Each does what it does as I personally suggest, so well.

April 28, 201016 yr Author And why you didn't post any screenshot yet? :(Awww FORGET the screen shots! I am in flight sim Heaven! I'm now just west of Chicago at FL280, and Patrick, I have NEVER seen a flight simulation sky as beautiful and ultra complex with varied layers and cloudscapes in my life. It just DOESN'T get more real than this...OMG! :( :( B) If you have the program mix...get your virtual self up to FL280 about 30 miles west of KORD and just SEE FOR YOURSELF, what has me beaming like a light-house! That sky is kicking it at around 15:35 E.S.T. to prompt my remarks.Back to the flight...and probably an amazing REX2004 SP2/A.S.E. ( build 572) sunset waiting for me at Phoenix...Cheers!Mitch
April 28, 201016 yr I can't wait to start up my FS9 again. Been very busy with my semester. I know I have alot of updating to do.
April 28, 201016 yr And why you didn't post any screenshot yet? :(Between my new twin girls, MBA, just got back from a week in Brazil, and life in general I have not touched FS9 in months. You got me so excited that I'm looking forward to a flight tonight!Scary when a 7 year old sim just keeps getting better and better huh?
April 28, 201016 yr and with REX2004 SP2 (with wave animation fix as well)What's this wave thingy? Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
April 28, 201016 yr Hi, scenery fans. . .And for "reality", I HOPE you put OFF the "flags" over the planes ! !I can't beleive that some people leave that thing ON ! !Blue skies.
April 29, 201016 yr Author My Traffic X v5.2b works with FS9?Actually, no...I got My Traffic FS9 as well as My Traffic X...I'm so used to commenting on My Traffic x...that I typed that quickly. It is My Traffic for FS9. Sorry for the confusion.MitchWhat's this wave thingy? On the REX support site you will find SERVICE PACK updates. There was a problem with SP2 for REX2004 that the water-wave files corrected. It is there as well for you to download after you install SP2.Mitch
April 29, 201016 yr Author Thanks for that correction. Also, can you edit flight plans in that program? The program is called MY Traffic 2006 (for FS9) and you can edit planes and flight plans. If you buy My Traffic X version 5.2b, then you also can have for free (upon request from the author) the version for FS9. You do though, have to request it, and he will send you the link to download. It really works well to populate most all FS9 airfields. Mitch
April 30, 201016 yr Hi, scenery fans. . .And for "reality", I HOPE you put OFF the "flags" over the planes ! !I can't beleive that some people leave that thing ON ! !Blue skies.Couldn't agree more . . . what is it and screenshots with those showing? :(
April 30, 201016 yr And why you didn't post any screenshot yet? :(I can post a few screenshots later if you'd like. FSX can look really good in one sense, and then cartoony in the next. The colors, brightness, contrast, saturation..something, is just off and I can't put my finger on it Why do people seem to think that it is so difficult for FS9 to look good? Apparently some underestimate the power of a REX2004 and some of the nice add-ons for FS9. My system can blow through FSX in most instances, but I still have FS9 on my system and there is a reason for that. :( Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3
April 30, 201016 yr Why do people seem to think that it is so difficult for FS9 to look good?Because some are just ignorant to the fact. Some believe when something new comes out it's automatically the best; well not always. Their is a reason why I too will be staying with FS9.
May 1, 201016 yr If it's "as real as it gets"........then why have I spent hundreds of dollars to make it "realer than it was"?Sorry....a true story.....and I couldn't resist.gwillmot
