April 29, 201016 yr Commercial Member Captains:I'm happy to announce that FS Video Marshaller will be released very soon, namely, on May 8th 2010.This is not an FS2Crew product per se, but rather something totally and completely different!Support for this product, however, will be managed via the FS2Crew forum as it's easier for me to monitor one forum instead of two.FS Video Marshaller is a very innovative product -it's something you've never seen before.A problem with developing new FS software is that pretty well everything that can be modeled has been modeled.Well, this is one area that hasn't really been modeled to date, so hence the impetus for creating it.But since a video is worth 10,000 words, I'll direct you to the new FS Video Marshaller website so you can watch the promo video and and learn more about this exciting new product!!!Click here to visit the new FS Video Marshaller website!Enter the Promo Contest! Also, to help promote this new product, we're giving away 5 free licenses if you answer 5 skill testing questions. Here's a hint: All the answers are on the website, and when in doubt, pick 'true'.The contest ends on Release Day (May 8th), so enter now and good luck! Are you a FS9/FSX aircraft developer wanting to add 'bonus' support for your Aircraft?FS Video Marshaller works with all FSX and FS9 aircraft. You can add it to any plane in your hanger. However, bonus integration is provided for aircraft that include "eye candy" ground service objects in their exterior model. This is usually things like chocks, the Ground Power Unit (GPU), etc.The current list of aircraft with the "bonus support" built into FS Video Marshaller are:PMDG J41Flight1 MustangSimCheck A300Aeroworx King AirAll Eaglesoft aircraftAll CaptainSim AircraftIf you want FS Video Marshaller to be able to control the "eye candy" ground service objects in your aircraft (if you have them), please contact me directly. April 29, 201016 yr Hi Bryan, congrats on that! Video is great art. Already took the Marshaller Contest...keeping fingers crossed :( .Greets, Benny
May 1, 201016 yr This will be the most revolutionary software. I can't wait to get in blocks.:)BRGDS, Lucian Vasile
May 2, 201016 yr Author Commercial Member This will be the most revolutionary software. I can't wait to get in blocks.:)BRGDS,Thank you!I wouldn't quite call it "revolutionary" though, although it is different and unique. It will suite some peoples tastes; others it won't.I would be more inclined to describe FS Video Marshaller as something you've never seen before in FS because that's true (it's not like AES for example, and playing video is new) but it won't radicalize your simulation experience as the scope of what it models is narrow.Think of it this way..Flightsim is like a big train set... And FS Video Marshaller (or any add-on for that matter) is like one little piece that you can add to your train set that will make your train set bigger and better.Cheers, B. May 4, 201016 yr Author Commercial Member As release day draws near, I just made a last minute change to the code. Now, instead of the Marshaller just controlling the GPU and Chocks when using the PMDG J41, he will now also control other ground objects. At the same time, if you have any external ground service objects visible with the PMDG J41, they will automatically be 'hidden' when you 'wave' the marshaller off.Cheers, B. May 4, 201016 yr If you are already using AES, will the Video Marshaller also work with it? Robert Yunque PilotEdge Ratings = CAT-11 (2016-09-13) I-11 (2016-10-23) V-3 (2016-08-01)
May 5, 201016 yr Author Commercial Member If you are already using AES, will the Video Marshaller also work with it?Yes, it's important to note that FS Video Marshaller does not replace AES. They are not competition. There seems to be some confusion on that part. You could use the two at the same time.FS Video Marshaller models the real-world "hand signals" (chocks in, chocks out, gpu connect, gpu disconnect, start engine 1, start engine 2 and waveoff) used to communicate with the ground crew. These hand signals would typically be used by turboprop drivers. If flying a large jet, usually the ground crew would connect their headset to the plane and you'd communicate via the headset... that's what AES does, not not FS Video Marshaller.AES does not model these specific 'hand signals' as far as I know, nor does AES have the ability to control external "eye candy" aircraft objects sometimes founds in 3rd party aircraft such as chocks or a GPU.At the same time, FS Video Marshaller does not model docking/pushback procedures. That's something AES does. However, I may add pushback functionality at some point in the future. The initial release of FS Video Marshaller is just the beginning. If the users like the program and its popular, there is a lot of room for future expansion. So to sum, FS Video Marshaller in no way replaces AES. They do different things. You can use them together. May 6, 201016 yr Excellent. Something completely new that i couldn't imagine! Well done. If i don't win the contest i will buy it the first day! Again thanksAntony
May 10, 201016 yr Very good program Bryan. It's adds a lot of fun. I like the contrast of having the actual video of the real marshaller as if you were seeing him out the window. Will you be releasing an upgrade to show these other kinds of marshallers that are on YouTube? :( How To Marshall Jets Robert Yunque PilotEdge Ratings = CAT-11 (2016-09-13) I-11 (2016-10-23) V-3 (2016-08-01)

May 10, 201016 yr Very good. I bought it and i enjoyed myself. Please continue the great job.... We are expecting as lot from this excellent product!
May 10, 201016 yr Man, you can read my mind!Glad to hear you like the Video Marshaller!I am enjoying it very much. I spent most of the evening adding it to most of my aircraft sims. Some of them seem to have a half dozen panel files! It works great even on ****** 737X2 which is sometimes a little fickle about adding things to it, but has all of the chocks, ground power etc. I just have to select it on the menu after contacting the video marsheller. Thanks for the great work, Bryan. You come up with some really fun ideas in enhancing the flight sim. I really didn't expect anything like this. I'm curious what else you have up your sleeve :( Do you know if Leonardo Maddog will be making Video Marshaller work with its features yet?Bob Robert Yunque PilotEdge Ratings = CAT-11 (2016-09-13) I-11 (2016-10-23) V-3 (2016-08-01)
