It really irks me when I read things like this in the forums. We need to stop the snide cultural remarks and focus on our hobby. -John
Agreed, there are other places to discuss politics...but living in america, I can't say we are doing any better in politics then Europeans(couldnt resist to defend common sense)

I think "Hanger Chat" is exactly the place to discuss this type of thing. We do not live in a vaccum. What affects the internet affects us all. If a law like this comes to America, I think it would be just that much more government control that we may not want. I'm not sure I believe that much copywright infringement happens over unsecured APs. If I don't want to secure my AP, that's my problem. But back to the OP. I'm not sure this site works.Bob

I think the subject matter is fine, but when someone makes a culturally insensitive comment I think it should be noted. Everyone is at each other's throats these days and differences in culture, gender, religion, etc... seem to be an excuse to get in a few good licks in the forums. I feel it needs to stop, many are getting fed up with it.-John

True, the comments may have been insensitive, but there's kind of a two egded sword here. If we ignore the post,(my choice) it might go away. If we point the post out, it might get worse. Hard to say which is the best way to go. I think we can be above silly low blows.Bob

Hi John, and everyone.>It really irks me when I read things like this in the forums. We need to stop the snide cultural remarks and focus on our hobby.<The only snide remark is the one coming from you, John. I stated facts. Unfortunately I happen to know a lot about what goes on there. Carp starts there and rolls here, look no further than Aviation. We had a great system before they started messing it up.The problem we have is that decent people seem to think that things will be OK without getting involved. On the other hand the degenerates yell and scream trying to bring the whole society to their mud level, and they are succeeding. If there is a problem, it needs to be pointed out and addressed.I agree that we need to keep our systems secure, and I always try to point out when I see a weak point. Just as I did in my previous message. If some one says that it's my fault when someone else does something illegal, and just accept it, not going to happen. They need to stop that NOW, or we will be dealing with it.Yes, we are not much better, especially now days. Nobody really cares if some people brake the law, they actually encourage it, and if you try to enforce it, or create a law that makes sense, you get trampled by idiots.John, when I need your advice, you'll be the second to know and I will ask for it. In the mean time just give it to your family, or people that asked for it. TV

I wasn't giving advice to you, sounds like you are above it all and not in need of it. I can be po'd when I see someone single out a culture if I want to and there isn't a dang thing you can do about it. I will continue to express my opinion here and if you don't care to listen to it, that's your business. I tried to state my challenge to your comments while respecting Avsim's rules. Your response also seems to respect those rules, so let's leave it at that.-John
