May 5, 201016 yr Looks like a great system, the only thing I would change is I would install W7 on the Western Digital, maby on a partition about 160 gb then use the rest of the drive for documents, movies, pictures etc etc, and use the SSD strictly for FSX and other games, anyways sure your system will rock either way, good luck
May 5, 201016 yr This is quote from Jetline Systems (and they are well known pros who custom-build systems for FSX):The Nvidia GeForce GTX 295 and ATI Radeon 5970 has tested to be a significant performance inhibitor to FSX. This is due to their integrated dual GPU design. Jetline is not offering these models due to low FSX test results. Michael J.
May 5, 201016 yr Author Hey mate what other graphic cards would you name that are good for fsx?http://www.hardocp.com/article/2010/01/05/...rmance_review/6
May 5, 201016 yr Hey mate what other graphic cards would you name that are good for fsx?http://www.hardocp.com/article/2010/01/05/...rmance_review/6 The ATI 5870 and nVidia GTX 480 are the best you can get for FSX at the moment. bojote's VSYNC and shader 3.0 tweaks are required with the ATI 5870. May 5, 201016 yr hey according to that link the ati 5970 is fater then the 5870?Yes and no , Yes for most of applications/games and No for FSX, FSX cannot use dual GPU config, benchmarks and tests show fastest single GPU works better than dual GPU card(again I mean on FSX), so Nvidia 480GTX :( or ATI 5870 can be nice choice.
May 5, 201016 yr Author hey thanks ill probably get the 5970 and suck it and see ill be playing other games as well as fsx :)
May 6, 201016 yr Holy Pennies Batman! I almost dropped me coffee cup when I noticed the price of the XFX Radeon HD5970 Black Edition at NewEgg.
