May 16, 201016 yr A little more information, please. What do you mean "it won't let you"? Error code? No response when you click on compile button? Is your over to center altitude in Pro Flight 2000 above your destination altitude? If you have no idea what I'm talking about: have you read any of the manual? :-) Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B. I have seen the Compile button appear to do nothing if there are over 99 waypoints in the flight plan :)-P Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
May 16, 201016 yr WoznikWRX, check your .PLN files, you can open them in Notepad. This is an example of a flightplan (MDE-PTY) that won't compile, it does not have 99 points, as you may see: waypoint.0= , SKRG, , SKRG, A, N06* 09.52', W075* 25.23', +007025.00, waypoint.1= , LI, , LI, N, N06* 12.25', W075* 25.18', +000000.00, waypoint.2= , MRN, , MRN, V, N06* 10.35', W075* 19.26', +000000.00, waypoint.3= , NENES, , NENES, I, N06* 15.02', W075* 48.46', +000000.00, A323waypoint.4= , KOTIN, , KOTIN, I, N06* 32.00', W076* 13.31', +000000.00, A323waypoint.5= , ASTOR, , ASTOR, I, N06* 50.49', W076* 41.06', +000000.00, A323waypoint.6= , IVROS, , IVROS, I, N07* 34.05', W077* 43.59', +000000.00, A323waypoint.7= , PUNBA, , PUNBA, I, N08* 08.01', W078* 35.06', +000000.00, A323waypoint.8= , TBG, , TBG, V, N08* 47.15', W079* 33.43', +000000.00, waypoint.9= , MPTO, , MPTO, A, N09* 04.17', W079* 23.00', +000135.00, If I delete everything between the equals sign and the second time the waypoint is named, PF can compile the flightplan. This is the same FP, but it will compile in PF2000: waypoint.0= SKRG, A, N06* 09.52', W075* 25.23', +007025.00, waypoint.1= LI, N, N06* 12.25', W075* 25.18', +000000.00, waypoint.2= MRN, V, N06* 10.35', W075* 19.26', +000000.00, waypoint.3= NENES, I, N06* 15.02', W075* 48.46', +000000.00, A323waypoint.4= KOTIN, I, N06* 32.00', W076* 13.31', +000000.00, A323waypoint.5= ASTOR, I, N06* 50.49', W076* 41.06', +000000.00, A323waypoint.6= IVROS, I, N07* 34.05', W077* 43.59', +000000.00, A323waypoint.7= PUNBA, I, N08* 08.01', W078* 35.06', +000000.00, A323waypoint.8= TBG, V, N08* 47.15', W079* 33.43', +000000.00, waypoint.9= MPTO, A, N09* 04.17', W079* 23.00', +000135.00, Do you see the difference? Try it and tell us the result. Why do I have to do this? I dont know, it's not in the documentation AFAIK. May 16, 201016 yr Author And I use FSBUILD to make my flight plans..its weird..I read the manual but I couldn't find anything about it.. :(..I can't view the plan or print it.. Janusz Wozniak
May 16, 201016 yr I read the manual but I couldn't find anything about it.. :(..I can't view the plan or print it..The fix I'm suggesting you is nowhere in the manual. By default, there's no program in Windows for opening a FS flightplan (.PLN) file. However, you could double-click it (or right-click>Open with...) and Windows will ask you to use a Web service for choosing the right program to open it, or to pick one from a list. Take the second option (the one that says something about a list) and then in the list choose Notepad. Edit it as I showed in my last post, save the flightplan and try to compile it in PF2000. Hope this helps.Best regards from Colombia,Luis Miguel Best regards,Luis Hernández Main rig: self built, AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D (with SMT off and CO -50 mV), 2x16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM, Nvidia RTX 5060Ti 16GB, 256 GB M.2 SSD (OS+apps) + 2x1 TB SATA III SSD (sims) + 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD (storage), ID-Cooling SE-224-XTS air cooler, Viewsonic VX2458-MHD 1920x1080@120-144 Hz (G-sync compatible), Windows 11. May 17, 201016 yr Does this happen with all flight plans, or just one?I had the same thing happen on a single flight. As it turned out, the origin, destination, or one of the waypoints was below sea level (don't remember which one). PFE did not know how to deal with that.I would suggest that you make this post on the Oncourse forum:http://www.ocs-support.co.uk/forums/index....34010eb2f7d5c37You will find that Dave March is extremely helpful and I feel sure he can tell you a line to edit in your flightplan that will cure your problem. He sure immediately found the solution to my problem.Good luck:RTHEdit: For my initial post for my problem on the PFE forum, look at "EHAM will not compile (FSC originated)", Author: "rhodges" on "Thu Apr 08 2010 12:42 pm"Dave requested a copy of my FSC originated flight plan. I bet he will do the same thing with your FSBuild plan. I made one simple edit for the below sea level location and my plan then compiled with no problems. I'll bet you have a similar glitch.
May 17, 201016 yr If using FSBuild to create the .pln it does not put in those extra waypoint fields. If you edit or create them in the FS9 planner they will be added. Another way those fields get added is via some versions of Active Sky if you load and process the .pln file in it with the Convert Flight Plan option turned on.FSBuild exports those plans in the FS8 format without those extra fields (which FS9 can accept) so I'll bet PFE will not have a problem with those.
