If you take the time to research how to use ttools and how to edit aircraft cfg files, I find alpha india flight plans are nice to have. WOAI is great too, but they don't seem to match the frequency of Alpha India lately in having current flight plans for the major airlines. Sure WOAI is easy and one click and your done, and I appreciate that, but the updates are few and far between lately. They are covering alot of the fringe airlines no one else seems to have, so I give them props for that.I have FSX and Ultimate Traffic 2, and I use alpha india and WOAI fps for the airlines not covered by UT2. Also, the ut2 schedule is based on Summer 2009, and I will use the newer schedules of Alpha India for airlines I deem are worth the effort in converting from ttools to FSX compliant plans. But I must say that Alpha India are best out there! A little more work of course, but its rewarding! You get to learn the ins and outs of FSX or FS9 and its interaction with the aircraft folders.

Alpha India is great with the updates they already have this summer out! The work that goes into compiling their flightplans actually isn't too great just download the repaints, smack em into the aircraft folder, edit .cfg, compile, and fly! However the Avsim crash did make a few packages hard to complete :(

Hi Like other posters, I use WoAI packages, but mostly it's all done manually using downloaded FPs and repaints. It may be slower that installing just the one package, but it does get you a lot of airlines not covered by WoAI.I'm glad this thread has come up because it allows me to offer my sincerest thanks to a guy who seems to tirelessly upload quality AI repaints to the AVSIM library: Billy Rutherford. Not only that, he often includes FPs which otherwise would not be available. Without his hard work, my AI environment would be no where near what it is.Billy, many thanks :(

I find it fun to search for the repaints. You can learn more about the airline because you become intimate with the specific details of the aircraft models, paints, whereas if I put in a WOAI schedule though the easy peasy installer I have no idea what the finished product will really look like. This is not a complaint at all, but to illustrate the results you get when you get your hands dirty :( For my favorite airlines, I will even use the fleet repaints if available to match the paint to the reg code on the a/c. I also extend my thanks to all the talented repaint artists who share their work with us, I was always wondering who was using these very detailed and up to the minute liveries in the past. Now that I use ttools to import AI into FSX, I have much respect for these artists! The good news is that more often than not, if the file is missing in AVSIM I can find it on flightsim.com.

And I'll second the thanks to Billy Rutherford. :( Dave

Wow I never realised it was one man doing all this. I suppose I should read the readme's a little mroe intently. Any suggestions on some GA aircraft to throw into the mix for the GA-Traffic program?

Didn't you see that I mentioned Mr. Rutherford in the 3rd posting to this thread? He's a talent...so for GA, look to HTAI models and the wonderful repaints that are produced. Oh and by the way, I recently purchased the Balearic Islands from Areosoft and guess what? Billy has an HTAI Aero Club package for Minorca named "Aero Club De Menorca". Makes it kind of cool to land at LESL :)Mark

Yep I own the package now :( How do you handle specialised packs (such as French General Aviation Package etc.) and if it interferes with GA-Traffic? In addition are AI gliders possible?...

I've believe that I've seen AI gliders around but didn't install any of them. As far as installing packages such as the French GA, you would have to simply add the correct [fltsim.x] section to the specific aircraft that it's looking for. In most cases HTAI doesn't interfere with anything as most airports are first come, first served. In other words if there isn't enough parking at the airport, and AI aircraft will land and then literally disappear! One of the things that you'll find is that Henry has a ton of other models on his web site. I downloaded all of them into their own individual base model folder along with a separate repaint folder for each base model. I do have the French GA package and there are other aircraft in it besides HTAI. I don't believe that you have to install the other aircraft unless you want to...you could just add your HTAI models to the correct aircraft.cfg file and it should work fine. I like to install an authors vision though. In many cases they try to fill out an airport and the skies to give it a bit more of an active experience.Mark

One more thing, you might want to take a look at the AI Flight Support website. They have a couple of tools to help you install AI Aircraft. There are also a number of other websites that have pretty good tutorials on the do's and the dont's of AI Aircraft. Get Lee Swordy's Traffic Tools as well. It has one of the best explainations of AI around.AI Flight Supporthttp://aifs.pvdveen.net/AI Made Easy - Tutorialhttp://michaelstanton.net/ai/tutorial.htmJohn Goodwin's Home Page AI Traffichttp://www.john-goodwin.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/page4frame.htmlMark

I LOVE addng business jets to my sim. Especially the larger one like the 737 BBJ or private 757's.

For people asking planes to add in GA-Traffic program by Markus Brunner, I strongly suggestgo to library and search for Mike Cronin aircrafts, he designed a lot of planes specially for AI.Thanks :(

Same here WOAI. Also Fruitstand.
