June 1, 201016 yr Now that I have a machine that can adequately run FSX, I am starting to enjoy the VC-only cockpits. Is there a way, once I have found settings I like for a particular view, to hard code those settings into the config file? I guess the question really is where can I go view the custom settings in order to make the config updates. Thanks!Bruce Riggs KADS Regards, Bruce Riggs KDFW
June 2, 201016 yr I suppose it is possible, but the best way to get things done when it comes to views is EZdok from Flight1. And it comes with motion effects as a bonus. If you tried it once, you won't fly without it anymore.
June 15, 201015 yr I think Track IR would be the best purchase. You can pause it at a certain angle to make things easier in turbulence but generally I find it extremely helpful.I have TIR 5 and the Track Clip Pro | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
June 15, 201015 yr I'm sure that there is a tutorial for this, but the basic concept isthat you save a Flight with your preferred window positionand that you extract the camera position coordinates. This in turn allows you to define a new camera view, or if itis the default position you want to change, you can edit theEyepoint (all in the aircraft.cfg file). August 16, 201015 yr Not too difficult. I have done this with the JS41 and Duke and it's like having a 2D panel!Changing Views - FS DeveloperIt took a few tries to figure it out, but now I have hotkeys (F10-F12) that go straight to the views you want.Eddie KABQ EddieKABQ
