June 7, 201015 yr Hey guys, lately the heading in my PMDG has been off by 5-10 degrees. Is there something I can do to get it aligned properly? You can see an example here: http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n257/fl...pg&newest=1 You can see that I am aligned on the runway, however the nav display shows me off by about 5 degrees. The runway heading was 085. Thanks. Commercial Pilot ASEL, AMEL - Instrument - 325 hours

June 7, 201015 yr You need to install magdec from -here- and then make sure that any airports you use have the correct deviation shown. You will probably have to create afcads in order to do this. Also makesure that in your settings that gyro deviation is off. If you want it still to be on make sure that you have the ability to correct it from time to time during the flight. Also remember that if your a/c is flying by IN that is a true heading.vololiberista Super VC10 into LOWI with PF3 at a cinema near you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=298UDyNmgUA

June 7, 201015 yr Check your wpNavAPT.txt file in your NavData folder. You'll probably find that the runway bearing ( and other details ) are different from your scenery runway bearings. If you change the NavData to match your scenery ( and IAPs ( ILS bearings) you will probably get a more correct presentation on your EHSI or ND. Back up your files before changing and replace the required items exactly, no extra spaces etc. or the file will not work. Field and record lengths MUST NOT be changed.Colin B

The runway heading was 085. Thanks. I experianced the same problem with my PMDG AC. It turned ouy to be a corrupt afcad file I'd recently installed. The only way I found the bad file was to remove all afcads and reinstall about 10 at a time until the problem repeated itelf. It took a few hours, but I was able to track down the bad afcad.
