June 11, 201015 yr Happy friday everyone,Well I have quite the tuff question, Or so I would think, For those that own both the aeroworx B200 and the digital aviation Cheyenne, which do you prefer, are they comparable?I am asking only because I am looking at the cheyenne but I curently have the king air so Im not sure if I could justify the purchase.P.S. For something a little bigger(If I so chose to) how is the ATR from flight1?I dont really want another jet, Looking for a prop but the flight 1 ATR seems rather pricey, is the price justufiable???Thanks Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.
June 12, 201015 yr The flight 1 ATR-72 is worth the money in my opinion. It's certainly one of the better airliner simulations there is, probably because it was made with considerable assistance from the real ATR company.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
June 12, 201015 yr All three of those turboprops are wonderful. I fly the King Air more, mostly because I love the real life counterpart but also because it's modeled after an aircraft I personally know (the designers used CMC's [a hospital near my area] King Air as inspiration). ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
June 12, 201015 yr DA Cheyenne's VC is top notch and more up to date. Look at some of the screen shots: night lighting is amazing, winshield wiper effect is really nice, all-around fine piece of German craftsmanship. Couple this with RXP GNS430, can't go wrong. You'll also get the FS10 version if you later choose to go to the dark side.B200 is a great plane, too, but between the two, Cheyenne gets my vote. ATR72-500 is another must have, well made. Heck, all three get my vote. R9-9950X3D 32G | RTX5090 | 3T m.2 | Win11 | vkb-gf ultimate & pedals | virpil cm3 throttle | tm boeing yoke | pimax super uw | DCS
June 12, 201015 yr A matter of taste I would say. VC in the Cheyenne is amazing, I agree. For me flying the B200 is slightly more challenging. It's more difficult to accomplish a perfect landing with it. It tends to flare more than the Cheyenne, while the Cheyenne is a little more stable, particularly during approach.I think the GNS430 or 530 (with WAAS preferably) is a must anyway. Integration with the Cheyenne is a bit more difficult than the B200 but it works as well.So to your question - they are comparable. Which one you prefer depends on your priorities. They are both great. Cheers - Stefan Maus
