FSX Airport Lamps

Featured Replies

I like the airport lamps (that light up at night) put in some custom AFCAD's like VTBS - see red highlight in pic below. It is an unknown object in ADEX 1.47, and when I tried to copy and paste it to one of my AFCAD's, it does not show up.How and what AFCAD editor do you use to include the lamp in the library objects?Cheers

I have not attempted to add objects like that via ADE9X. I use the Instant Scenery object placer from Flight1 (payware but very reasonable) to place most objects at airports. There are several libraries of objects available for download here which include Ramp Lights and even if they are designed originally to be used in FS2004, I find that almost all will work just fine in FSX.Hope that helps.

It will be an unknown object in ADE unless you import the information about the objects into the Library Object Manager. I assume that you do have access to the library bgl file that contains these objects?

Yes, I imported the _obj.bgl file that contains the object, and then selected the same file to Add Objects in Library Object Manager, but "No useable objects found in this file" was returned. Is there another way to import library object information.
