What Android Applications are available for flight simulation?

10700k / Gigabyte 3060

I've searched the Market on my Evo 4G since I got it on the 4th of this month. Nada, zilch. Though I remember one Iphone/Ipod Touch app that listed default commands for FSX/FS9. :( It's not looking good as there's 35,000+ applications in the Market. That being said, I do have a few really great apps I use for flight planning/weather when I file in real life at airports other than home. Search with keywords aviation, aviation weather, flight plan, etc. I suppose those apps can come in handy in the simulator too, especially if you're using a weather program like my beloved Active Sky Evolution.

Having used both an iPhone 3G (soon to be iPhone 4) and a T-mobile G1, I can tell you that the App Store has a much better selections of (useful) FS apps in that it actually has some... :( . The makers of vroute, for instance, put out a decent VATSIM traffic viewer app, as did someone else (name of that app is "VATviewer" I believe).I know that doesn't help for Android, but that's just my experience.

Are you trying to start an "Iphone/Android sucks!" contest here?! :( You know you're entering flame war territory (if this were a different forum). :(

I eventually found a couple air traffic control games. Very primitive - you have to slide your finger across the screen to direct it.

X-plane is coming to Android. http://www.x-plane.com/pg_X-Plane_for_Android.htmlAbsolutely love my HTC Desire. Rhydian
I knew it had to be coming, especially with Android gaining so much power. I can't wait to see what they do with X-Plane on Android.

Totally agree. Looking forward to this myself. No idea how big the application will be. HTC need to update my Desire to Android 2.2 as soon as possible so I can stick it onto my SD card. It will probably eat up my internal phone memory otherwise. CheersRhydian

There's apps for that. :( But seriously, there's an app for that.
