June 23, 201015 yr Author I use to have this problem on my previous pc Dell xps 730 which had an nvidia gtx 285 but it started after I had my pc for nearly a year and it use to happen only while I am playing FSX until I uninstalled some windows update and it stopped but my pc went down so I got it replaced, now i have an alienware with an ATI and on this pc it does it constantly non stop, no open programs nothing even if i am not doing anything or just on the internet. I am trying to re install all my addons but its such a struggle even when I start the pc sometimes it freezes it and I have to force shut down and restart. But to my amazement it does not do it while I am on FSX.Patrick

It has nothing to do with FS.
