Carenado Seneca or DA Cheyenne?

Featured Replies

I have long been wanting a small twin-engined prop, and so far the Carenado Seneca and DA Cheyenne seem to be the best fit to my taste. Carenado now has a sale, which gives 30% off all the FS2004 products, so here's what I have to choose; get the Seneca or the Cheyenne? Some things for thought:- The Seneca will only give the FS9 version, not the FSX. The Cheynne will leave me with both and thus is a cheaper.- The DA seems to be fully functional, system wise. How functional are the systems on the Seneca? Please recommend one of the planes (Only gonna get one of them right now, need to know which one is best), but a comparison of the two is of course also most welcome.

The DA Cheyenne is magical. The only issue I have is the Trimble GPS, so I'd advise replacing it with a RXP GNS430 or 530, but apart from that, it's absolutely wonderful.Having said that, I haven't tried the Seneca, but most Carenado stuff is really good, if just a little simpler than the DA Cheyenne. No slur on Carenado, the planes they simulate are simpler beasts.Cheers, SLuggyedit - I hadn't noticed the pressurisation problem Windycloud mentioned, but I mostly fly the IIA model.

I do not have a signature. Why are you reading this?

Cheyenne is one of those 'wow' FS products.

Thanks for the comments so far! Anybody who can elaborate on the Carenado Seneca?

The Caranado Seneca is a nice bird but like what's been said the DA Cheyenne is a hardcore turboprop add-on. The choice is basically a nice twin or a hardcore add-on with all the trimmings...
