August 4, 201015 yr I run FSX w/ Acceleration, so I run into the problem with the engine start and the FMS getting information blown out. When this happens, FS2Crew gets tricked into thinking I am in Cruise mode, and the FA begins his cruise speech, over his initial saftey breifing speech. I hate to call this a bug on FS2Crews end, because the issue is clearly with the aircraft, a very well known issue that Level D has flat out refused to even attempt to fix, so could there be some sort of fix on your end in a patch that can somehow prevent the cruise speech of occuring whilst my aircraft is on the ground? August 4, 201015 yr I run FS2Crew with FSX Acceleration, but I've never seen this switch to cruise mode during engine start. I'm wondering how come it happens to you - are you following the steps outlined in the FS2Crew manual? Are you starting engines during pushback? August 4, 201015 yr I too have not had this issue with FS2Crew and the LDS 763 in FSX+Acceleration. What was your departure altitude? I've flown from near sea level so far and wonder if you leave from a higher altitude if this could confuse things. Eric Szczesniak
August 4, 201015 yr Author Sorry but I did not seem to make myself clear. FS2Crew does not go into Cruise Mode, I dont believe the 767 version even has such a mode. The FA says what would be his cruise "speech" at the same moment the first engine spool up doesnt take and the FMS is blown out. And since Bryan says that this version of FS2Crew relies heavy on the FMS, I think it is tripping it up. At least it seems to be for me. As far as functionality, I lose nothing, like I said, FS2Crew knows I am still in engine start phase, but the FA doesnt seem to think so.And yes, I start the engine startup process during pushback. Otherwise I seem to be standing in the middle of the ramp for a long time, starting the engines after pushback (the first engine twice) and then redo the FMS and then control checks. Maybe I should try and wait until after pushback to start the engines? I will give that a shot on my next jump with the seven six. Flew into Kansas City and the return flight I ran into this problem, that is about 1100 MSL i think. Just flew into KIAD just now, and I did a through flight and it didnt seem to happen this time though. That is at 310 MSL. It could be just something on my system is all out of whack. I had Active Sky Evo running on my setup and it seemed to be just fine until just recently when it has decided to go on strike on me, had to pitch it in the garbage and go with REX instead. August 5, 201015 yr Commercial Member Hello Scott,I just looked at the code and can see how this could happen if the FMC blows out.One of the conditions is that the aircraft has to be greater than the FMC cruise alt.I'll add extra conditions to tighten this.Cheers, B. Another great version btw. Got me enjoying my 767 again. Been flying it nonstop.
