I'm surprised that this doesn't happen more often. I used to do a lot of long flights across the pacific (Asia to US) and witnessed the craziest stuff. How flight attendants put up with it day in and day out is beyond me...examples:- passenger who has never seen a toilet. So decided to squat on the tiny sink to do a #2- passenger strips completely down to his undies while in flight to change into PJs- passenger trying to stuff the entire food tray into his bag. When confronted, states "i paid for ticket, this is mine!" (they decided to let him keep it). I've seen this happen at least 3 times- passenger in business class yelling (at 2am) that his seat won't recline all the way down (by maybe .5 inches compared to mine). Started insulting the attendants such as "this ticket costs more than your salary...etc." Finally they moved him to first class...and i can still hear him yelling up there....- passenger demanding to talk with the pilot (while in flight), cuz he said the flight was too bumpy...and yells "he needs to be fired!" and that's just a tiny bit of what i've seen. -feng

I think there's a difference between expected passenger lunacy . i.e. stuffing food into their bags, and personal attacks from passengers to the staff.I work in a business that sees alot of people, and we get all types of weirdness, those we just laugh about. It doesn't really cause any emotional residua until they get personal.

People like that really annoy me. It doesn't matter how much you have paid for your ticket. There is no excuse for yelling at and/or insulting someone who is only trying to help you.
