August 17, 201015 yr On a recent attempt to fly from LOWW to ZMSH in the MD-11 (FS9) I received the "Not In Database" error. I believe this will happen with any PMDG aircraft with an FMC, as they all use the common database from Navigraph, so I posted it here. I realize that this is basically a Navigraph issue and have written them about it. This airport, ZMSH, shows up in the FS9 "create a flight" and appears on the FSNav map and the Afcad2 program. It has one runway, which is over 9,000 ft. long and the default is located in:Flight Simulator 9\Scenery\Asia\scenery\AP977160.BGL My question is this...is there a way to somehow fly this flight in a PMDG aircraft, speciffically the MD-11...other than completely by hand? The flight plan was created with FSNav but without a destination ICAO that the PMDG FMC will recognize I'm not sure how to proceed.Victor Buck Victor Buck
August 17, 201015 yr Perhaps the airport has been assigned a new ICAO code? You didn't give the name so I can't check but I am sure you can use the internet to have a look.Otherwise, you can follow the same instructions that are provided in the knowlege base for creating an entry for VHHX, which has been closed but simmers love to still fly into due for the unique approach. Create an entry in airport.dat and one record for each runway in wpNavAPT.txt, and then add a sidstar file if you want but it's not required. Dan Downs KCRP
August 17, 201015 yr I was checking this ZMSH on FSX, and the name of the location is Sainshand, Mongolia. And you want to fly the approach not using the hands. Sainshand = no hand! Sorry, I couldn´t resist it. :D Felipe Andrade at SBSP

Sorry, I couldn´t resist it. :D :( :( OK...you get that one! LOL! Actually Felipe, the entire flight would be by hand because if the departure or arrival airport is not in the database...you can't enter a flightplan in the FMC. Dan, I will check out the knowledge base article. Thanks! Victor Buck

August 18, 201015 yr Author Victor do just as this tutorial (example Kai-Tak) and you will be good./ Leffe OK, Leffe, will give it a go. I could use a bit of help figuring out what the numbers are? I see that they are Lat-Long and runway heading but I'm unsure what format the Lat-Lon is in and a few numbers I can't decipher? Thanks!! Vic Victor Buck

Vic Any help with the numbers required in the above tutorial (the ones with a white background)? What is the format for the lat-lon? I would be transferring from FSNav data which lists this airport as:N44* 58.99E110* 10.02A little help with what all the numbers are (runway heading, etc.) and the correct format would be helpful. Thanks! August 28, 201015 yr But in a real aircraft, there is a function in the FMS for pilots to create a completely unknown airport by entering coordinates and altitude. Is this feature implemented in PMDG's addons without manually modifying the database ? (744X, 737NGX, MD11X)In my airline, we don't have worldwide airports in the B777's FMS database. If the pilots need to divert to an airport or the destination is not include in the database, they have to create it in the FMS. Location : FMEE
