  1. They would need a Caterpillar 797F to ram a A380 like this. It would be epic, at minimum.
  2. And that C172 with 325kt of groundspeed? They where riding a tornado?
  3. I agree with Ryan on that. It´s just a regional turboprop in the same class of the J41. But they could choose the E-Jets (170, 175, 190, 195) if they intend to do a Embraer. And if they´re willing to do another turboprop, I´d recommend the ATR 72-600.
  4. I think that in real world operations, you'll be told by a ACC (Area Control Center) which arrival you'll have to do. You actually plan your flight to a fix where the STARs tend to initiate, and you'll receive your descent plan some minutes before you reach this fix. In places without a STAR, I think the usual is proceed in a CDAP (Constant Descent Approach Path) until reaching the initial approach fix. Of course, this generally works if you're flying on-line. In off-line, AI FSX control, the best method might be what Henk described (you could also open the map and check the actual condition on that airport, but that won´t help with multiple runways).
  5. Just keep your seatbelt fastened and everything is gonna be alright :D
  6. Anyone saw the first flight of the 747-8? Great bird, good to see a new Queen flying. I imagine that it´s certification program will be shorter because of the freighter program.
  7. It´s up to the people decide whether they want to be treated like cattle or like humans. If the market sees people crowding low fare planes, they will make a move toward that position. I think there is still someone willing to pay for a little more room leg and good hot meals, and if a company start marketing for then, it may find a forgotten treasure. But the constants positive results of low fare companies make the big ones forget people who just like to fly or enjoy the travel.
  8. I think is useless, but I´ll say it anyway: the staff said hundreds of times that they´re following Boeing´s actual blueprints of the NG, and that they´re pursuing maximum quality (as long as FSX permit). So please, save your questioning about appearance of a specific part, or the presence of a system. I think that after all these teases and views, we all know that the product will be the best as possible. That´s my 2 cents.
  9. They supply Boeing engineers and airlines executives with Pogo Sticks. Now imagine a bunch of engineers jumping with some 80´s fun song as background music. That´s how you make business. :D
  10. I felt like Bugs Bunny near gold when I saw the pictures. Amazing!
  11. I think it´s a great way to learn about and help pilots to know how to avoid possible new emergencies. After almost every accident, pilots try to recreate them on level D simulators trying to understand how they could save the plane.
  12. I saw Saitek recommending this on their Twitter. It´s very neat.
  13. Hehe, it´s funny to see people feed themselves with unpublished information.
