Problem installing new 747-400 LCF addon

Featured Replies

Hi,Have just downloaded the new 747-400 LCF add on but cannot get it to install. I run FSX with Acceleration on WIn 7 64bit.I have the 747-400 installed and running with no problems.I ran the installer as administrator and it verified my purchase ok, however after pressing next I get the following error message:Install localization failure. Please contact PMDG Support with Code 0016138.It looks like the installer cant find my installed 747-400. I have FSX installed in its own directory on my C drive.I have submitted a ticket to PMDG support but thought I'd post here to, see if anyone had any ideas. Thanks in advance.Steve Mckenna

I too have the exact same problem, purchased and validated then wont install, have submitted a ticket also and waiting patiently to install. Will keep checking here hopefully have an answer to this problem shortly.I have the 747X, MD11 & JS41 with all the order numbers and never had an issue installing any of these products.

Steve/Jeff-I know you both said you have tickets submitted (thank you!) but wanted to let you know we are researching...The error you are receiving is a windows MSI based error, which is strange...Jeurgen-Please head over to our support portal- submit a ticket and include a copy of your aircraft.cfg for us? That will help us to sort your issue out for you.Thank you, Gents!

PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM

You can find us at:  http://forum.pmdg.com

Make sure you are entering the Order#XXXXXX and not the Order Code Number. I did it wrong and got the error code then used Order # and it worked..Glen

Hi Steve, Glad you got your problem resolved, but for others sake that may experience the same issue, could you maybe write what the problem and solution was for you? This will make it available for others that may have the issue as well as possibly free up some uneeded tickets (and of course, get them flying faster :Big Grin:)

Hi Dan,The install problem needed a support ticket. I'm not sure what the exact problem was, but I believe it had to so with the fact I'd used a different email address when I ordered the LCF than the one I used when I ordered the 747-400x.Steve Mckenna
