August 23, 201015 yr I have a small problem with RC. Centers will always hand me to the next center late. For example,, if I am flaying from LHR and I am on London center, I won't be handed to Paris control untill I am over Paris or even beyond it. And some times I would stay on the same center until approach. I wouldn't mind it, but it gets silent and I don't hear ATC communicate with AI planes.I usually, stay at normal simulation speed till I reach cruising altitude and then to 8x, but I always go back to normal 4 nm before checkpoints. I, also, tried only 4x but it is the same. Any one else has the same thing? Naif Almazroa My Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/Youmou0205
August 23, 201015 yr London to Paris is a very short flight for airliner speeds. If you are going at 4x RC will not keep up because of the CPU resource loads and how FS handles them. This would slow down AI chatter (they might not be recognized) and RC getting your location coordinates. At the very least at 200 nm from departure or destination points 1x is needed because comms and AI can be very busy. En route between those phases 2x should work and 4x could get iffy. RC depends on FSUIPC to get your location (and other things) and read the AI around you up to at least 40 nm. If using FSX and other add-ons making heavy use of sim-connect (such as ASE) then the information pipeline gets clogged and query-response messages get delayed.
August 23, 201015 yr Author I am using FS9 and ASE. It might be it. Anyway, thanks for the response. Naif Almazroa My Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/Youmou0205
August 24, 201015 yr HiI fly out of Heathrow a lot.Under normal coditions transfer to Paris control occurs as i approach or am just crossing the coast of France. At 2x the transfer usually occurs within a similar area.On that basis it appears that running at more than2x is the raeson RC 4.3 cannot keep up.Norman Bowman Norman Bowman

September 11, 201015 yr Author 8x isn't going to work. 4x is most likely not going to work. 2x will work sometimes, if you are careful. i'm afraid i don't have a better answer than to say stay at 1x maybe 2x.jdActully, it works, but I have to follow rules so to speak. During climb, 4x is maximum. During cruise, I can use 8x but should pass way points at normal and pause before swiching from 8x to lower. If I follow these conditions, I will be turned to the next center a little later than it should be. But, it is still tolerable. Naif Almazroa My Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/Youmou0205
