Game Booster V2

Thanks for the heads up.

Gamebooster is also very useful for defragging only FSX. It only takes a few short minutes rather than doing an entire system defrag which could take an hour or so... Howard

Hi,I use Game Booster for one reason, it turns on/off system services on the fly, it also allows me to edit that service list. Everyone needs to keep in mind that Game Booster will "NOT" edit your FSX.CFG file.I notice smoother performance from FSX with Game Booster enabled, I believe this smoother performance is due to the turning off of system services. I also run a tweaked fsx.cfg file that I tweaked myself.
Hi Mike,Interesting app, I just dowwloaded and ran it. I haven't yet chosen to do anything, as I have no idea of what system tweaks it will do, or if any of the services it turns off will cause me an issue. Looking at your post, it appears that whatever system tweaks or services it shuts down are a temporary thing and get reset when exiting the app, is that correct? I'm a little leary of letting it do things (and it's already obviously found a bunch of things to do to my PC :) ) that screw things up. Thanks, Bruce.

Hi Bruce,The services will be restored once you exit the program. It turns Windows system services on and off on the fly, its great utility.

Thanks Mike- and are the system tweaks also restored? I know I'm being paranoid here :), but I have been caught before when XP was new with "tweaks" that never quite made my system go as good as out of the box- and besides, now that I ma making my own systems, curious minds want to know what will be tweaked :)Thanks Mike, and thanks for all you do for our hobby.Bruce.

I am concerned that the use of this function could give problems. Some motherboards have their own software versions for the management of the chips. Using this could cause some issues. This is noted on the Intel site.

Hi,Are you using the latest drivers for your hardware? My game Drivers listing within Game Booster 2 show " No driver need to update.". If your worried about your drivers then don't update them, I would however check and make sure you are using the latest drivers for your hardware.

I ran this program and I love how it shuts things down that I was doing manually in Task Manager. However,I downloaded the latest NVidea driver and now I am getting the "Shimmers".Don't know if this is the problem but anyone know how to get back to my previous driver to find out?Unfortunatley I don't know which one that was but it was probably the previous one. Thanks for any help.Ron
