Yes, Al, looks like a bargain. But take into consideration that only Antalya is the new airport. Faro, Kos and Monastir will be the very old versions. Unless you're talking about FSX, then, yes, four brand new addons. And to all the rest: it is not my forum, it's our common home so, of course, everybody has a right to write whatever. But please look at how this thread develops and what you actually wrote in relation to the topic. What I mostly see is complaining, and not even about the scenery my post is on.I set up this thread to tell you about a new scenery of Antalya which you may buy if you are interested and willing to.And my thread turned into a general Aerosoft bashing one (fair or not), which now is partially my responsibility. If at least you bought Antalya X (like some here did) and have some specific problems with it, sure tell us here, why not?Or, even better, please also go to Aerosoft forums and tell them there (I haven't seen many posts about it there) 'face to face'. At least you can push them to fix the faults, which will be good for all of Aerosoft customers. If you really feel a need to complain about Aerosoft, and you prefer to do it here than at their forums (where a constructive discussion could be held thanks to both sides of the story being present) why not make a new thread like 'Problems with Aerosoft sceneries'.I see some of you here are angry because an Aerosoft scenery dissapointed you. Yes, I know this feeling - it happened to me too. You can simply stop supporting them with your money and voilla. Use FlyTampa and FSDT.Please do not spill out your complaints on the occasion of releasing a new scenery which you didn't even try.And please, let's make love not war. And let's stick to Antalya X in this thread. This was my intention when I created it and please help me make it like that. That's all I want and all I'm anxious about. I hope you can understand me. Thank you! hand-peace-small.jpgI'm off now. Flying a charter flight to... guess where? :(

Rafal: I value your membership and contributions here greatly -- please don't hesitate to post ANYTHING here in the future. You knowledge and experience have saved me on many occasions. But I have to tell you that you are not responsible in any way for the development of this thread. No one is so powerful . . . Further, whether or not I agree with what everyone (or ANYone) else wrote, I think this thread evolved naturally and actually quite informatively. ( I didn't know ANYBODY was having problems with their sceneries or customer service, but I did take note.) Flight Sim is an isolating hobby as far as system and addon performance is concerned and t's not like we can look over at our buddies' computer screen to see how well he's got his version of Antalaya running. So people share their experiences here, somewhat to complain, but in complaining also receive verification (AND validation) of their concerns. So what went on in this thread IMHO is not only normal, but perhaps even helpful, expecially for future visitors. Until all software vendors take up Flight1's refund policy (BRAVO FLIGHT1!!!) forums and posts like this one are the only preemptive venue we have! (I also hope some of our more sensitive moderators feel this way too.)

Thanks a lot, Chuck!

to see how well he's got his version of Antalaya running
Like I wrote, if only it WAS about Antalya X here, then I'm more than happy to read all reports, good and bad.By the way I have finished my first flight to Antalya (Condor 767-300ER from Frankfurt). To be perfectly honest, I have noticed NO performance issues. That illustrates the well-known fact, like you mention above too, that people have very different rigs, setups and addon collections. So something runs well for one person and doesn't for the other.I am being objective now. I have Pablo DIaz HD clouds, 100% AI traffic, aircraft and ground shadows on, max vertex at 21 plus I have FPS locked at 25 (I don't need more).I was flying Level-D in 2D cockpit. During my approach, lading and taxi frames did not actually drop below the 25 limit. So no stopovers for me at all. What I did notice however is that, like already mentioned at the Aerosoft Scenery forum, the AFCAD needs a remake. I may drop some graphic (screenshot) reports later if anyone is interested.

Wait, wait, Rafal! You didn't notice ANY PERFORMANCE HIT? Were you running in full VC mode across 3 screens, with TrackIR and triple head to go, GEPro, Real Environment Extreme (1080x1080 textures, of course), 80% cloud cover, 100% AI, and all other sliders right?"Well, THERRRES yer problem!" :(

Hello,

I was flying Level-D in 2D cockpit
He he ...Even flying with 2D panel in a chopper (low velocity) with VC removed (the HEX trick) and nice wheater and no traffic .. I have a big lose of FPS when in Antalya (go from a steady fixed 41 FPS .. to 12-15 unstable FPS)No probs in other airports like Munich or many LatinVFR etc ...This scenery have a bug ... but where ? :( Regards.bye.gifGus.

Gus,Do you have this problem in every part of the airport or just at some specific one(s)? And during the day, night or both?I will try to test more and bring you the conclusions. I admit my results were based on one arrival only.

Hello,When airport in visual !!Those pics .. same conditions ...Antalya:148ghhx.jpgMunich:t4wdpu.jpgRegards.bye.gifGus.

OK, I have done some testing too. I was using my Carenado Piper, the same hour, fair weather (with HD clouds) and all sliders 100% to the right (including AI).I have done tests at three airports: LTAI, LEPA and EDDF. I have additionally unlocked my FPS (an interesting experience by the way). The conclusion is: yes, there seems to be an FPS problem somewhere in the scenery, also for me. :Thinking:I was unaware of it simply because I fly with FPS locked at 25. Now after getting off the lock I got the following results when approaching main terminals and aprons:- LTAI - 23-30 (quite stable, though I have an impression there are some micro-stutters - or maybe a suggestion now?)- LEPA - 28-35- EDDF - 18-25Since LEPA is an airport larger in size and much more populated in aircraft (probably partially due to a bad AFCAD for LTAI), LTAI should get higher FPS and it's getting seemingly lower.Fraport is a mega hub, so the results are normal for me, and still in a degree comparable to LTAI, which should not be the case. What helps, for now, might be turning shadows off if you don't mind and of course if you do have them on (ground and/or aircraft shadows).I compared file structure and size too. Texture size and format does not seem a problem at first sight, they are similar to LEPA or EDDM ones.I guess the culprit is somewhere in the bgls. I have just checked the German Scenery subforum at Aerosoft and found an replacement set from Oliver Pabst offered to FSX users of Antalya, who where complaining about low FPS.The replaced files were: LTAI_objekt_place.bgl, LTAI_objekt_place_dense.bgl and LTAI_objekt_place_medium.bgl. I wonder what exactly they contain and maybe something like this will be given out to FS9 users. All in all, the FPS values in Antalya X are still high enough form me to enjoy my flights but yes - they clearly could and should be higher, as for the scale of the addon scenery.I am 99% sure this problem will be solved by the developers soon. Including an AFCAD replacement. The parking parameters and taxiways nods seem to be out of order.Anyway, the scenery looks great, especially if you add a good addon mesh. I recommend the freeware one: http://library.avsim...php?DLID=144328 .PS: Just to set any scale, I discovered (turning off the FPS lock) I get around 50-60 FPS outside of airports. Dense clouds may reduce frames to similar numbers as airports.Having MFS look great always comes at a price.

So, now I had the time to test this scenery on my machine too. Something around those terminals is awry, I'm quite sure of that. I tested using the Carenado C182RG in FS9:- When looking at the terminal buildings, I get FPS of about 30.- When looking in any direction at which I don't see any of the airport buildings, but the terminals give the most pronounced effect, I get FPS of over 50.It seems to me that something is wrong here. That said, the scenery is perfectly useable for me, but it's indeed a bummer that I should get FPS at Antalya that I would normally expect at Munich.

Personally I'm sticking with the Sim-Wings and Limesim products from Aerosoft. There is no need to write new releases completely off, but I think the issue is clear, they're working with too many outsiders and getting mediocre results.

Thanks to Billy Rutherford's generosity, you can now try an improved AFCAD for FS9 Antalia X.It has just been uploaded to the AVSIM library as aerosoft_fs9_ltai_afx.zip.The direct link is here: http://library.avsim...ftp&DLID=154009Thank you, Billy! :(
