TrackIR stops working

Featured Replies

Just tried to use FS2Crew with my PMDG 747 in FSX w/ Acceleration and both times I have tried to use the software, my TrackIR stops working. I tried closing and restarting the TrackIR software (version 5), but it is not making any difference. My TrackIR always worked without issue prior to installing and using FS2Crew for the PMDG 747X. Anyone suggestions? Thanks.

Hi Shane. No idea I'm afraid. We have a large user base and just searched the forum and no one else has reported that.Try re-installing any Track IR drivers, etc. Also, see if track IR works with other aircraft.Remember that all FS2Crew is just a gauge file that gets loaded when you load the 747.Cheers,

Thanks, this one has got me scratching my head as well. I will try reinstalling TrackIR. I am doing a flight now with the PMDG 747 and it is working fine, but I didn't use FS2Crew for this flight. Strange. Will report back to see if I can solve this.

My TrackR5 works perfectly for several flights but will not be able to shut down (closing client window freezes). Every time this occurs I must use Task Manager to close out TrackIR.exe.At other times it stops working when I change planes or flights. The other problem is: If I disable TrackIR using a hotkey, it usually will freeze and not return function again until I close it with Task Manager.Note: After shut down with Task Manager TrackIR will not work until I physically unplug/replug the USB port. What is causing it? Don't have a clue. I have FS2Crew installed but am not using it. Also installed, and running, are ASE, REX,ORBX PNW, GEX, Ult Traffic, Ult Terrain.Reinstalling TrackIR5 drivers did not solve the problemPlugging TrIR into a hub did not helpSwitching from the Track clip Pro to standard clip did not fix it.At this point the only thing that works for me is the unplug/plug it from the PC.

Thanks, I too occasionally have to use th task manager to force the software to close. Unplugging TrackIR is a possible option, but mine is currently plugged into a USB port on the back of the computer, but that is an easy fix with a USB extension cable. Thank you again for your response, it is appreciated.

I did a flight today using the 747X and FS2Crew and my TrackIR worked the whole time with the difference being that I never paused TrackIR while running FSX.
