Take that out of the equation, and FS9 worked pretty good. I was able to get decent performance with it in the beginning, but mainly kept 2002 for the add ons. Yes the clouds were a hit, but a lot of people expected that.I think the fact remains that considering all the tweaks these sims require, mostly done at freeware and payware expense, it just goes to show ACES doesn't care about optimizing their code and delivering a really great out of the box product. It really is a foundation at beta level that forces us to manipulate a great deal to even enjoy. IMO, this software should run very good on a newer machine with sliders at least set to medium.
