FSX Munich vs Amsterdam

Featured Replies

Wondering about the differences in textures/quality (day/night) between the Munich and Amsterdam sceneries. Also, has the placement of Amsterdam Schiphol within the NL2000v4 scenery been resolved.Any help in my scenery selection would be greatly appreciated. :( Darryl

Assuming this is for FSX, I'd love to tell you, but as far as I can tell, the FSX version isn't available?

I am an avid globetrotter with my trusty Lufthansa B777F, Polar Air Cargo B744F, and Atlas Air B748F.

Both FSX versions are available. Check aerosoft site.

Darryl, if I were you I would go for Munich since as far as I have read, it doesn't have the problems EHAM has had since it released. In fact, I was talking to Soya the other day who posts a lot of NL2000 screen shots here in the screen shot forum, and he has the EHAM package and told me it still has some issues that haven't been fixed yet. As far as I know, NL2000 is working on a freeware version of EHAM as well, so you could always buy Munich while you wait for the AS EHAM to be completely fixed or maybe the NL2000 version will come prior to that and you could try it for free.

As others said, many of the issues of EHAM remain unresolved. The NL2000 compatibility is still non-existent, and no effort was as yet done to correct the placement of EHAM so that it alignes with NL2000 ground imagery. Whether you should go for one or the other, I can't really suggest. It depends on what you want. If you don't care about flying to the Netherlands per se, or flying with KLM, just go for Munich. if you had wanted to fly from the Netherlands more than from Munich, then go for EHAM. If you simply want to fly with the least amount of headache, Munich is probably a better choice since it performs better.
