FSX in 3D

Featured Replies

I got a pair of Anaglyph 3D Glasses for free the other day. They were giving them out to promote some movie or comercial or something (I didnt pay attention). But I remembered someone saying you can use them with FSX if you enabled a setting with the Nvidia drivers. I tried them out with FSX, and It really looked good! Colors are a little off and there is some ghosting of the image. However, once I took off and headed for the clouds, it was amazing! I realy forgot I was sitting in front of the computer. I may pick up a pair of the plastic Anaglyph 3D Glasses they sell online for 5-7$. If you have a pair sitting around the house, give it a try. I dont think Ill use it all the time, but once in a while its a cool effect.Rob

Do you mean the type of 3d glasses that you get at the movies or the green/red ones? Sounds pretty promising, as I thought you had to have a 3d enabled monitor to do this?

You need a 3D monitor @ 120 Hz for the SHUTTER glasses, the anaglyph 3d (red/green) can be done on any monitor if your video card allows.I tried it, it gave me headaches.

Ping pong, try adjusting the seperation, start at approx 10 percent and increase slowly over a week or 2 and your eyes will get used to it. I prefer the IZ3D anaglyph driver. Its free and much better than nvidias. The pro-ana glasses give excellent results by the way. Next to no ghosting.http://www.3dstereo.com/viewmaster/gla-proa.htmlAnaglyph does affect frame rates though.

I've been using the Nvidia 3D Vision glasses for a few months now, and the results are outstanding.
