My new ORBX Lancair Radioset

Featured Replies

here is my adjusted radio set for the ORBX lancair..Just to show that you not only have to be stuck with only the original or the RXP gauges and that you can infact add any other gauges. I have added my own set. I also added traffic and terrain to the GPS.The newly added custom radioset.lanczz002.jpgthis was still with the old GPS's but at least you can see how nice it is with the "Terrain" that has been added.! lancradio.jpg

Nice! Where did you find the BK autopilot?

Very nice mate. :( I wonder if it's possible to have just a simple G500 or 295 pop up panel. While the pop up panel was a very welcome addition to the Lancair it's still too small and cluttered for my liking. Are two GPSs stacked on top of one another necessary? I'm not a great one for 'real' navigating and autopilots so I don't know. I simply like to punch in a destination and follow the magenta line or making your way around mountains and valleys using the terrain feature. Unfortunately you (I) can't do that with the setup in the 1VP so I don't use the Lancair as much as I'd like. I only mooch around places I know. That's a shortcoming of mine I hasten to add, not Orbx' fault at all. :(

yes it is possible to have GPS500 as a popup instead of the 430's.if you use the std ORBX radio set.open panel.cfg of the lancair.Replace the following [Window01] sectionwith this[Window01]size_mm=307, 310position=6Background_color=1,1,1visible=0ident=10gauge00=fs9gps!GPS_500, 0,0,307,310now your popup will be the GPS500 in stead of the 2 stack 430'sNB always make a backup of the original panel.cfg file so that you have a backup to restore if you do not like the change.

my own. Not very authentic with the green indication lights to display what is active, but this is what works for me so this is my version of the BK autopilot.

Bit of a problem with that Blik, GPS500 shows up fine, I can slide the panel over to the other monitor, but FSX locks up intermittently with black screens. So I'll stick with the one I had. :(

Bugger! :Thinking:EDIT: :( Got it! I edited the panel.cfg that I was using not the 'backed up' config. NOW I can get my $A£35s worth. I can use the aeroplane how I want to use it. Cheers Blik, you're a service to the community.
