Hi All I did tag this question on the end of an old topic but thought I may have more luck starting afresh. Could someone possibly post what they believe the best AI Smooth settings are. I have version 1.20 and yet I have AI flying past me on finals, or turning in short for a landing, and I constantly have to do go rounds due to traffic on the runway that have jumped the queue ahead of me. I have already set runway and taxi speeds to 35 and 20, but need help with other elements, which I haven't really touched. All help appreciated.Best regardsMalcolm "Rooster" Hancock

I use exactly the same settings (got them from Jim ages ago) and it's mostly ok. I still get the occasional aircraft flying over me on approach forcing me to go around, but nowhere near as bad as pre-AI Smooth. It's freeware, so no complaints from me. :(

Thanks Jim. I use it all the time but have never been sure how to optimize it. Given your expertise, I have no doubt this is the optimum and will be using your setting from now on.

I've been using AI Smooth and AI Separation together as outlined in the download available in the library file here at AVSIM. The file is "Manual.zip" and it still is there as I just looked it up. It seems to have worked well for me, although I have to admit that at times I forget to run these two applications. But maybe some here may want to give it a try using both programs simultaneously.Jim D.

I've been using ai smooth for a long time. I also have /occasional/ issues with ai on final...but like was mentioned, this is freeware and I was happy with the results. Thanks for posting these settings I will try them out. I haven't optimized my setup after all this time! This post is why I keep checking this forum...always good stuff here,Cheers,Scott

Hello Jim I have done several flights into busy AI airports and the results are great, a big improvement. I just wanted to say thank you again for your help and support and indeed everyone else who contributed to this thread. I love the general good will that abounds in our hobby.
