Cool post... but as a former long-time employee of UAL I just have to say the following:WHAT MORON DECIDED THAT MERGING UAL'S NAME WITH CONTINENTAL'S UGLY, WORN OUT LATE 80's PAINT SCHEME WAS A GOOD IDEA?In my opinion that executive (along with about 20 others, who's names I will gladly provide on request) should be taken out back and caned with a 2x4 studded with rusty roofing nails.<cough>Sorry- had to regain my composure there... :( I think the folks planning this merger are proving that they are too concerned with touchy-feely crap to do what needs to be done... Completely revamp the brand image of both carriers to something entirely NEW. Tear down the artificial barriers that exist between the two formerly independent entities and grab the future by the dangly-bits and make the best of it...It is a shame...
