November 21, 201015 yr Dear Eds,Just wondering if you'd consider doing a story on Cascade.More directly, just wondering if you'd be able to get the "real story" - they seem to be in hibernation and their facebook page is getting spammed by Income At Home and Miracle Diet ads and so forth.I believe personally it's over for them, at least as far as any type of flight simulator may go, but would really like to be able to find out from a reputable source.thanks,Andrew H e l p k e e p A V S I M f l y i n g
November 21, 201015 yr As far as I am aware with Cascade - it did not appear that they were going to make a flight sim. They were very vague on what exactly they were going to make. In the end I think it was more likely they wanted to make a train sim or other types of simulation (possibly even scuba diving). A rumour floating around was that most of the Aces team who joined them were from a background in MS Train Simulator.I remember reading somewhere that after some consideration they were not really interested in starting out with Flight simulation and that their first product(s) was/were going to be something else, and that maybe latter on they were going to look at possible FS software product/s.They were so vague for so long on what they were actually going to do that I lost interest and I don't know what happened to them.......... Hopefully they're still around and will provide some simulations software in the future.
November 21, 201015 yr Vascadw Game Foundry has kept a very low profile. It's repoerted it's shown snippts including an interactive trip down a realistic train corridor, from Seattle’s Carkeek Park to an area near the Ballard Locks, and an immersive underwater diving experience in Micronesia,I doubt there will be much support anywhere for a newe flight simulation following Microsoft's announcement of Flight.
