December 9, 201015 yr One of my favorite things about the Level D 767 I purchased years ago was the fact that it came with "life-like" cabin announcements which I feel add a whole new level of "realism" to the plane and makes you feel like you are really there. I know you can download FDSFX on avsim but then you need to run a seperate program and have to manually start each of the annoucements. Recently I saw this link about something the QualityWings guys are implementing into their 757 as an addon. I love this idea and I was just wondering if Airline specific PA system announcements will be included in the 737. Thanks guys- John
December 9, 201015 yr I find it actually totally killing realism to have prerecorded cabin announcements played inside the cockpit. If you were simulating the passenger cabin then it would make more sense but we know this 737NGX won't be coming with the cabin. Michael J.

December 10, 201015 yr Commercial Member I think we're going to let folks like Bryan handle this kind of stuff... I think hearing a flight attendant safety briefing in the cockpit is exceedingly silly honestly. The only way I could see that working out realistically is if you had the cockpit door open and it was a very distant/low volume sounding thing. All they're missing is Dispatcher communications and updates through ACARS, and maybe a 2 hour hold at the gate because the door won't close. :( Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune. There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you. It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.
