Aeroworx Beech 200 Problem

Featured Replies

Hi all.I have recently purchased this bird and so far I have done a whole lot of reading. Well the question now is how do I get it to fly??? I have looked in so many places for answers to my this question, which is, where are the chocks?? I have not seen hide nor hair of them LOL!! I sure hope some knows the answer please. Thanks in advance...................John

The answer to your question is in the documentation. Have you read the Quickstart Guide, which should be located in the "Aircraft\Aeroworx Super King Air B200\Docs" folder? This takes you step by step through startup procedures, taxi, take-off, approach and landing.

Hello Graeme. Thanks for your reply. I have read all of the documentation that came with the aircraft four times so far, (and while I still do not have it all memorized which will not happen until I start flying the B200) including the part that talks about programming a key or button to (wing fold) remove chocks etc. Am I to assume that wing fold will remove the chocks or do I have to type that in somewhere. If so please can you tell me how you did that? I have found no reference to that anywhere in the documentation, or am I going blind maybe??...................John---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hi all.I have recently purchased this bird and so far I have done a whole lot of reading. Same as all the planes. I assign the same keys a code to work on all my planes. For instane my key assignment e opens main door, y=wingfold, H=tailhook. One of these controls the chocks. I think it is tailhook. This plane flys and works real so there is no short cut in reading the docs. I had to just like everyone else.Carl Perry 7+ year sim pilot

John,I am not sure that I can make myself any clearer than the manual, which states:"Note: You can use the ‘Wing Fold’ command in FS (you can assign your own keyboard shortcut under->Options|Controls|Assignments) to place the wheel chocks and install the engine intake covers. If you remove them (by using the same keyboard shortcut you have assigned) you will hear thepilot’s passenger briefing. Please make sure that if you have done this, to remove them prior to yournext take-off.......not doing so will result in one of the longest take-off runs in history, and yourco-pilot probably won’t want to be flying with you again."So - if you want to see chocks (which is not a requirement to fly the plane), you need to make a key assignment for the "wing fold" command. There are many commands in FS that do not have default shortcut key assignments, and it is up to the user to decide what keypress they want to assign to various commands.

Hi Graeme.I do, believe it or not understand perfectly clear all that you have said. What I cannot do is find any reference to Chocks in Options|Controls|Assignments like "select exit" and opening baggage compartments etc. I do thank you very much for trying to help me and I know that it will all sink in eventually."smile" it must be a senior senior moment or something....................................................JohnPS: I will make a public announcement when it does LOL LOL.

John,There is no reference to "chocks" in the FS assignments menu. You assign a key combination to the "wing-fold" command. Different aircraft add-ons will have different animations designed to react to this keypress. In the case of the Aeroworx B-200, the "wing-fold" command will make the chocks appear/disappear.
