Hi guys, after owning PMDG 747 for a few days, i have some initial thoughts.1) comparing to the leveld voice, it doesnt seem to be as hands on,, comparing the manuals, there was more process' where checklists and flows were included in the manual text, i hope it to be included in a update soon??1a) also there seems to be more active co pilot in the 767, for example when doing the flight controls check, the flight controls were done by the co pilots, i am not sure if this is a pmdg sdk limitaiton?2) NOT FS2CREW problem. but the lights in the VC are buggy. The co pilot will select them and when you have changed back to the vc, all the switches are back in the off position.3) comparing to older versions, it seems to lose some sparkle. I remember one version where you had to click different parts of the load sheet and your signiture would appear. with more ground crew coming into the flight deck etc, i do miss that a lot.Thats a brief initial feedback, again bryan you have done a great job with this one, I look forward to your answer and i wish you every sucessAlex Ridge

Hi Alex,1. I followed, quite closely, the procedures used by a real-world 747 operator based in Oceania. What you're seeing is a pretty close approximation of the way they do it in real-life at this one airline. The 767 was modeled on a different airline, and they use a different set of procedures. There are a million ways to skin a cat, as they say.For example the controls check: At the 767 airline, the controls check is fairly elaborate involving all sorts of calls. At the 747 airline, the Captain does the whole thing and it's done silently. The crew would only mention something if there was a problem.2. As for more ground crew, I know what you're saying but in the other versions (like the Jetstream), for example, someone would come in with a loadsheet. In the 747 version you'd get all that stuff over ACARS, so no one would come into the cockpit to give it to you anyway. Also remember that in the 747 version you're getting the Video Marshaller for Free, and that's worth 14 Euros all by itself.Compared to the button version, you're also getting three full voice sets: UK, US, EU.You're also getting a product that works with FSX "and" FS9 out of the box, and which also works with the Pax/Cargo models, too.So I think you're getting a pretty big bang for your 14.95 Euros :( Cheers,

First of all, thank you, Bryan, for the hard work on this. Made me enjoy the old lady again and keeps me a bit away from complaining about the outdated optics of the VC itself. Using it on the -8 versions here, so only the outside is shiny and new. It's really fun to finally have an FO there like on the Maddog and J41. Sad point of the lacking SDK are those neat "set heading" calls and stuff which aren't available here. Not your fault, I know. There should be a law for aircraft devs so offer a SDK. Big%20Grin.gifOne question from me is if there are "Cockpit door" and "Cabin clearance" checklist items in the freighter version. I wonder if the freighters close their doors and wait for some stewardess to call them that the "cabin" is ready. My FO currently asks me for those items even if I just fly some company guys together with tons of freight but no paying and meal-service-depended passengers.I only had some short test flights now, so there might come some more things to my mind then. But wait, I'm really glad for being able to use Fs2Crew on hte passenger and freighter version now. As we all remember, button only was "passenger only" too. Thanks again. This thing is well spend money and the marshaller guy on the video always makes me laugh as I click him twice in bad weather.

Hi,Glad you like the product! The way the Cargo version works...FS2Crew detects if you're using a Cargo model, and it automatically turns off a lot of the FA interaction because they're is no FA obviously. The checklist items are not abridged to reflect the Cargo model. They're the same as the Pax model checklists.HOWEVER, for the "Cabin Clearance" challenge in two of the checklists, you'd just simply respond/speak "Not applicable" if using a Cargo model.Cheers,
