December 21, 201015 yr Hey guys, this is a question for the experts! ^_^I want to know how I can intercept an radial in the JS41? :Thinking:I'm familiar with the Cessna 172 and the bare basics like fly direct to ... VOR, etc. I did the private pilot exam on IVAO successfully. Now I want to do the senior private pilot exam.Thx for your help! Daniel Gravanis - EDDH Many happy landings and always three green!

I think that all you need to do is put the VOR freq. into the NAV radio. Go to the VOR instrument and put in the rdail you want to fly by turning the knob. Then just intercept the radial and fly it. You'll probably find I wrong but hey. December 21, 201015 yr Commercial Member Tune the VOR frequency on the radio panel. Make sure the HSI is in V/L (VOR/LOC) mode. Use the CRS knob on the glareshield to set the course (or press the center of the button for Direct To function). Kyle Rodgers
December 21, 201015 yr Author Thank you Kyle for reply, when I do this what you described, do have to do something then? Or is it automatical? Daniel Gravanis - EDDH Many happy landings and always three green!
December 21, 201015 yr In VOR/LOC mode, you can fly manually or using HDG to fly the radial you want intercept and it will capture the radial (VOR) or course (LOC) and then track it. An intercept angle of over 30 deg might end up with overshoot but it will act just like the real thing. Strong winds may require time to settle down as well. Dan Downs KCRP
December 21, 201015 yr Ahhh just realised this is in the PMDG forum - apologies. Kyle is spot on though.
