The best US airports freeware

Featured Replies

Well, not exactly F4Phantom. Based on the screenshots provided, they are complete revamps of the entire terminal block and ground areas. As for KJFK...there's one here: http://library.avsim...php?DLID=148285Dave.
Dave, were you talking about KDCA?Daniel

I must admit (I just added Shez Ansari's KDCA) Shez Ansari is one of the best freeware designers for US Flight simulation.KDCA and KLGA is done by him, quite good considering it is freeware.Cleveland and Detroit are nice.I thought I had FRF's DFW but I don't. Any differences?

Gary Widup's KSLC v2.http://www.avsim.com/hangar/utils/gwidup/

Have to agree with mentions of Shez's airports. All very nice. I especially like KBUR. My ONE pick is LIRF - Roma Fiumicino from Italian Scenery Design (ISD) I think their website is no longer up, but if you fly in Italy and can find their Italian airports (Rome, Milan, Venice, etc.) they are nicely done and well worth the free download.Try Here: http://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads-cat-70.htmlAlso, don't miss:FRF STUDIO: http://www.frfstudio.net/home.htmlMACH 1: http://mach1designgroup.webs.com/scenery.htmThanks to all of these talented designers!(free is good!)Steve

So far we have a rough sketch of what the freeware is available. As above we have the freeware groups and Shez (individual designers).I will start listing some of the best to get a top 20 or top 10 list going.Boston LoganPhiladelphia (Sunskyjet)ClevelandSome of you had said Albany or other smaller airports which I don't have. If you want to nominate those can you post some screenshots? I will go to find a poll now.....

http://micropoll.com/t/KEqVEZBsWtThis is the link for the poll. Your vote won't be official until I 'open it' here. It will count but I will reset it when I finally have an appropriate list.Put your suggestions here. I want to start the poll by the 30th December 2010.ONLY US airports and NO other scenery. Leave that for another day or start a new topic please. Thanks.
