crash at dubai
Mean post here, but hey such is life and i finally get to vent. I am mean in the sense that I always almost pray the Pilots slam on the brakes when we get close to the gate so I can have a mean laugh and say YOU DESERVE IT you pathetic imbeciles. People do get up and get their things before the aircraft exits the runway every time I fly nowadays. Dangerous behavior, and especially useless since one has to wait for a while before they leave the aircraft, and then wait again for Immigration and bags. Ray, sadly It happens on more routes and with more nationalities than you might expect.

crash at dubai
"Government of Dubai says no injuries, all passengers safe after Emirates jet fire at Dubai airport" Quote from their twitter page. That is all that matters right now. Funny thing is I had just opened FlightRadar24 and noticed a lot of traffic over at the new airport, and holding patterns around DXB. I opened Airlive.net and low and behold.

Salzburg released by Digital Design
Just an FYI regarding SODE, Mathijs posted that they are working on updating their sceneries as 1.30 has no backwards compatibility. It is in the scenery support section as a sticky.

Dream Scenery Help please
No, just downloaded to an "FSX fake folder" and copied over. It is an interesting install, as I also installed U.S. cities Indianapolis and it is fine minus the tall buildings "downtown". So to make sure I am clear on this, Airport minus terminals only (roofs of terminal show up) and City minus the "center" lol.

Dream Scenery Help please
I installed Dream Scenery IndianapolisX into v3, and it is missing the terminals even though the bridges show up (old fsx scenery with old terminal). Any ideas as to what I can do to get them to show? All other buildings, and FedEx terminal and new airport construction site show up just fine. It is installed within P3D as IndianapolisX. Thanks for any clues, help or insight in advance.

Virtual Avionics
Ivan, it works fine for me. http://www.virtualavionics.com.br/ Create an account and download the interface from the download section. You need to have an account for this to happen, so you need to create one. Good luck

Royal Jordanian repaint request
Since the A330 is a while away, I would really like to try my luck with the T7-300 on the KJFK-OJAI route. I would appreciate it if someone were able to do the repaint. http://www.airplane-pictures.net/photo/472121/jy-bab-royal-jordanian-airline-boeing-787-8-dreamliner/ As close as can get. They flirted with the idea of getting the T7-200, but settled on the A340-200. Thanks in advance. Waleed.

SP2 simconnect help request
Tried posting in an older topic, but I think it is better to do a fresh request for advice. I installed a fresh copy of p3d v2.5 into D:\Prepar3Dv2 Had to instal from msi as .exe would fail five minutes in (downloaded twice, installed using admin rights and so on with firewall and anti virus off). It works, but is missing simconnect files, which I installed from redist folder. I cannot get the sp2 file to install, and it keeps failing and that means the missing wheels and everything else related. This is what I get when I try to instal: version+="10.0.61259.0".type="win32".processorArchitecture="x86".publicKeyToken="67c7c14424d61b5b". Thanks for any advice, as everything out there, including PMDG advice is to install the simconnects found in redist folder.

777 won't work under P3D 2.5
I get an error trying to instal FSX-SP2-XPACK\lib folders simconnect, while the other two load fine. version+="10.0.61259.0".type="win32".processorArchitecture="x86".publicKeyToken="67c7c14424d61b5b". I installed P3d on D:\Prepar3Dv2. Thanks for any advice, as everything out there, including PMDG advice is to install the simconnects found in redist folder.

Latest Update Nightmare
Never mind, out of desperation I tried repair from dvd and it worked. Time to do a backup again lol, as it has been at least a month. Microsoft, ah never mind as I have little in the positive corner fighting the negativity.

Latest Update Nightmare
Last time I did the update and restarted cuased my ssd to lockup, and had to reinstal on a spare one. So I fall for it again and update (today), and when I restart I get a black screen with a blinking hash upper left corner. I would appreciate some advice as to what I can do if anything to remedy this (Please do not ask me to go to Microsoft as I found nothing). It seems to hang right before it goes into windows. Thanks in advance for any help.

[27FEB15] Latest News/Release Planning Notes, etc
Robert, firstly I was not being serious here in any way. Secondly, if you are referring to the 737, then I am not able to comprehend (I am an enthusiast, not a pro) how the aircraft is not as you say flyable. I fly it quite often, and have had no serious issues in FSX as i do not use any other sim. If you however are referring to the new fsxse simulation, than all I can say is wait, it will be released soon.

[27FEB15] Latest News/Release Planning Notes, etc
Of all the excuses out there, you would think that a more imaginative one would come out from this team. My martian glow in the dark pet iguana with the pink nose ate the homework, er I meant to say the code. No, wait, wait, I meant to say the p.c. Is it really that difficult to come up with the proper 0's and 1's to make things work smoothly? I mean come on for crying out loud folks, how many tens of trillions upon trillions of options and variables are there in the code? Not to mention having it interact with three other different codes/sims and windows to boot. On a more serious note, you guys need some rest, so go get it, and thanks for the update. P.S. If you are reading this and have an itchy "complain" typing finger ready you have my sincere apologies, as I think I beat you to it.

[Beta Preview] NGX P3D - Part II
Ba Humbug Kyle. Night time runs for dinner lost their charm a while back for me. Reasons are simple, but let me put it into a sophisticated formula for you to understand: B) + = :Star: - time availability x 10 + super delicious home cooked meals(wife behind me reading as i type  )- Wendy's old unhealthy delicious fries to go with my spicy chicken sandwich with extra mayo (I should sue them for this)= well, to put it simply no more night runs anywhere for that matter, as i also have to put the kids to sleep. P.S. sorry the formula was simplified, but there is a lack of choice in the emoticons. Oh and by the way, I had to delete a bunch as it was more than the forum would allow.

OMDB SID
Rick, I once flew out of KORD on the Air France 340, and the lady next to me (ATC controller) mentioned that her buddies were going to help us with a shortcut. Needless to say they shaved about 15-20(?) minutes off our flight time with their nifty shortcut (eastbound international rush time). I would love a high speed departure with those engines running wild.
