December 21, 201015 yr I just found out about this plane from the forums and this is my first time installing. I followed the instructions to the letter for installing to FSX (Win7-64 os) but the plane doesnt show up in the FSX preview list in the sim. Anu suggestions? I tried using both the aircraft.cfgs but no luck Jay
December 21, 201015 yr There are no FSX preview thumbnail images...it should show up with the generic icon in place of the picture if you select "Boeing" in the aircraft selection menu.CheersBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case
December 21, 201015 yr I am having the same issue. The generic icon does not show in the airplane list, regardless of Thumbnails. In other words its as if the airplane doesn't exist as far as FSX is concerned.

December 22, 201015 yr Tks Bob but it's not there, beats me why.Check the aircraft folder for that plane - specifically the Panel folder. If it is missing, or if the panel.cfg is an alias to a non-existant panel (such as a FS2004 panel or a panel which you do not have) then FSX assumes this is an AI only aircraft and will not display it in the selection menu.Once a valid Panel or alias to a valid Panel is established, the aircraft should be selectable.

Rather than having the fsfsconv folder in BOTH FSX/simobjects/airplanes and FSX/aircraft, I only had it in FSX/aircraft. Once I copied the fsfsconv folder into FSX/simobjects/airplanes I was able to get the TM 737 to appear in my aircraft listing. Thanks!

I have the folder created and the panel.cfg, but still no plane shows. A simple .exe sure would have been nice! :-)6. Copy the FSX\Simobjects\Aircraft\fsfsconv\panel.B732ADV\ folder to the FSX \Aircraft\fsfsconv folder. If \Aircraft\fsfsconv\ folder does not exist, create it. Jay

December 22, 201015 yr Author FSX/Aircraft ??I do not have such a folder - only FSX/SimObjects/airplanes.I am confused. :(I am too, I had to create the 'aircraft' folder per the instructions, are they wrong? Jay
December 22, 201015 yr I am too, I had to create the 'aircraft' folder per the instructions, are they wrong? It appears that they are - the folder in question should be created under SimObjects/Airplanes - not as they stated.
December 22, 201015 yr Author It appears that they are - the folder in question should be created under SimObjects/Airplanes - not as they stated. This thing now has me so confused I'm about to give up on it. Are you saying I need to create a folder called "fsfsconv' in the 'Simobjects/Airplanes' folder then add the 'panel.B732ADV folder to it? This is making no sense to me at this point, but tks for trying. Jay

The fsfsconv folder should be in <your FSX directory>\Simobjects\airplanes and yes, the panel.B732ADV folder goes into the fsfsconv folder.I hadn't noticed it was airplanes vs aircraft (as used in FS9).RegardsBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case

Seems weird to create that fsfsconv folder in the Airplanes folder but that did the trick. Now I have a bigger problem! It's 2:30 am and I just adjusted the left seat and immediatly fell in love but it's too late to fly! What a beautifull panel, those that won't fly without a VC don't know what they are missing. Thanks for the patience and help from all involved, I think tomorrow is going to be a long duty day ! Jay
