hi guys,i have read around to some of the posts on this bit of hardware,I have got down on price at my local flight store [flightstore.co.uk].and i am about to pick it up, is it definelty worth it in your opinion guys[i only fly leveld and pmdg aircraft at the moment]all the best

Had mine about a year and half, very happy with it. I am no expert in the heavies so don't use all functionality but I have used for IFR with the Realair Duke and have had absolutely no issues.Also bought from flightstore - who are excellent.Hope that helps with your decision.OldBadger

Remember it won't work 100% with PMDG birds because of lack of an interface/SDK. But should work flawlessly with the Level D. I was looking at this aswell, but went with the GoFlight MCP pro so i at least had the option to buy the interface for the 747x at FSlabs, plus GoFlight were having a sale :). The advantage of the Combo is the intergrated EFIS control.

I have this Combo almost a year now and very happy.But full advantage will only be with registered FSUIPC, "the Vrinsight-Mod" from FSUIPC and some LUA Scripts (which are already done :( )Of course you could also work with the VRInsight Key-Mapper, but with that you could not assign all needed commands.So I highly recommend to have a look into FSUIPC and the whole LUA stuff to get the best out of the combo!

I have had the VR Insight MCP Panel for a few months now. It is generally very good but I agree with all the other comments made above. It does enhance the Flt Sim experience but there are limitations and is definately has to be switched on/booted up in the right sequence. FSUIPC is essential to get the best out of it.

I have had it and the CDU II for about a year now. Works flawlessly with the PMDG 747 and MD-11....without LUA scripts. Just setup the keyboard commands in the PMDG Options to reflect the Serial FP2 key commands. Not sure about Level-D.
