December 28, 201015 yr I've never had problems myself flying the default Baron in FSX. Infact, it flew like a dream, like no other. It was my very first twin prop experience, before I even encountered the Flight Sim community. This one is especially irreplaceable in the hobby, and with the release of MS Flight I expect this to return with the sim, looking better than ever. (In any instance however, if MS Flight is destined for the beginners and the arcade players, I'm sticking with FSX). Dave. December 28, 201015 yr .. I like the B58, I know it's king of a boring ( but Toyota Corolla is boring too) I think it's a great Bird to practice a complex Multi Engine, and this is what I'm using it for.For some reason you don't find many third party developers enthusiastic about the Baron, and other then the Duke you have to go with the stock one. I got the Duke installed it, but got some teck issues so I didn't really fly it yet. Wish you all Happy New Year BTWSomebody mention something about using DF VC FS9 with FSX, is it true ????? and can you go Win7 as well ?????According to "vlooi", it works in FSX and with Win7. (I don't own the DF Baron myself, so I haven't actually tried it.) Look for a thread dated Dec 24 in the flightsim.com FSX forum.DugaldDugald
December 29, 201015 yr Thanks for the replies. I looked into the DF Baron update but I am sure I would screw that up. I would just like a regular Baron can't believe there hasn't been one released for FSX. Seems like a no brainer. I do have the Real Air Duke and it flies great but I find it very boring. I find myself bored stiff flying along. I realize it must be me because everybody raves about it. Hopefully someone will step up and make a Baron.I use the Baron in Turbo Charger version, and it's a blast. I am a member of the flightsimulatornetwork.com Multiplayer group and organised a flight from KCOS (Colorado Springs) to KASE (Aspen). We used the Baron 58 TC and were flying only a few 100 feet above the ground through the canyons and everyone that joined, said it was a great flight. I still fly this one frequentle and it is 50 minutes of having your hands cramped on the yoke and your feet glued to the pedals, trying not to hit a mountain. We use a freeware version and altered the aircraft.cfg file to make it's performance more realistic.I can email you the aicraft and .cfg file if you pm me your email address.I am sure it will bring your baron experience out of boredom ;)) A day without laughter, is a day without living.
