AI Traffic is really annoying?

Remember though as far as the default ATC is concerned it is totally irellevant outside N. America. If you are flying in the "Rest of the World" zone then PFE or RC4 is a requisite add-on.vololiberista

I can see the problem with default ATC alone, but I fail to see the angst against it, even when modified with editvoicepack and coupled with AISmooth? With those you get just as good phraseology as PFE or RC. It has human free flowing voices without the robotic sounding pauses of RC. PFE though does sound pretty good, and more like you would hear on the radio. There is the option to accelerate the voices (with even more options when used in FSX) It is the most editable being a voice editor. It handles Ground traffic, while RC doesn't. The only real thing it doesn't do is handle SIDS/STARS, which you can still fly your SID if included in your flight plan. It is also the best when interacting with AI. AISmooth solves about 99% of my approach incursion problems with the settings I use below. The only time now I have an issue, is when an aircraft taking off hasn't been cleared to departure yet. Which doesn't happen too often. The only other time is if AISmooth itself exits the system during the flight. Which does happen sometimes for some reason, but again not too much. That would happen anyway with any of the ATC options. Now I should say I do use these with FSX, but since little if anything has changed with FSX's AI/ATC system, I think you would get the same result in FS2004. BTW I'm getting ready to release a FS2004 version of the editvoicepack mods I made for FSX which added expected flight levels to clearance delivery, and current wind for landing clearances. Accents may be different, phraseology (part of which can be changed thanks to Editvoicepack), stuff like transition altitude/levels and whatnot. But I think you're exaggerating when you call it "totally irrelevant". It's not like the rest of the world flies upside down.:(

With editvoicepack it does handle both the FAA and ICAO phaseology (Although can't switch between them mid flight.). ie changes point to decimal, center to control, QNH altimeter settings. Position and hold to Line up and wait (Which the FAA now uses, and can be made to be used with the FAA set as well. I don't think RC or PFE uses this yet in the US.) It also adds some pleasantries to the freq xfers. So I hardly would call it irrellevant.

Thanks

Are there any good addons for a good cabin and crew announcement besides FsPassengers and FDC?
