Radar Contact and Ultimate Traffic 2

Good morning,I am seriously considering the purchase of RC4, and I see that it is compatible with Ultimate Traffic (According to the website). Is it compatible with Ultimate Traffic 2? And does it effectivly move AI traffic out of the way so I am not on approach with an AI plane at the same time? I appreciate any help you can give before I buy.,Brian A. Neuman

I have been using RC4 for quite some time now, but with WOAI's AI traffic. For this I have never had any problems with any aircraft coming to close to mine and I would say that in terms of ATC it is one of the best add-ons around.

FSX --- Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 overclocked to 3GHz --- HD4650 --- 4GB DDR2 Memory --- Vista 32 Bit

Addon Aircraft: Wilco A318-321, Wilco 737 Classic, Wilco 777, Carenado Beech F33A Bonanza

Addon Scenery: Aerosoft Bremen, Aerosoft Maldives X, Aerosoft Gibraltar X

Addon Utilities: Radar Contact 4, SuperTrafficBoard

Others that I can't remember ;-)

Hi Brian,I don't use Ultimate Traffic, but I do use MyTrafficX and I have no problems with AI and RC4. At altitude RC4 will advise AI to change course to avoid you. On the ground at airports "situational awareness" is a function we will put into RCv5 which we are working on and release in the future. For now, RC4 does an excellent job with sophisticated real world ATC. Bottom line you should have no problems with AI.Bob Johnson

I am using RC4 with UT2. 90% of all times, RC4 does a nice job "interacting" with AI planes. For the 10% where it doesn't, CTRL+SHIFT+A in UT2 will clear the approach from AI traffic :-)

SO basically I wont have to fight the AI traffic while on approach? That is my main concern as I am inbound and the AI traffic cuts ahead and i have to either do a hard 180 or go-around. It can be very frustrating.

When you say interact, are you hearing all ATC instructions to AI aircraft? My issue with RC4 has been, I don't hear the same instructions to AI aircraft as it gives me, ie: intermediate altitude ascent and descent instructions. Also I haven't seen any video or audio examples that it does. If you are talking about approach incursion issues, I submit RC is not controlling that rather AISmooth if you are using it, as RC is not actually controlling AI that is still the default AI system. Although it will pause AI on the ground to prevent an incursion, but I don't think it does that in the air, I could be wrong though!

Thanks

What I mean by interacting is having the program keep the AI traffic away while I am on final. AI smooth does well keeping AI traffic away from each other but causes issues while I am landing.
