Saitek Multi-panel LED display

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,I just bought a new Saitek ProFlight Multipanel unit and it works okay, but everytime when I restart FXS after the PC has woken up from sleep mode, the LED display does not work. After I unplug the and reconnect back into the USB port (in the PC), it will work. It will also work after I do a PC reboot.I use the lastest driver 4.0.100.1190 and I am running on Win7 (64bit). The Saitek test program works always, even when the LED display is OFF.I hope anyone can help me with this problem. Thank you.Regards,Sunnyc

Try SPAD, way better than crappy Saitek drivers.
Thanks. But I do not know what is SPAD. Where can I donwload it from, and what does it do?Regards,Sunnyc

Thanks Jahman,I downloaded SPAD and installed the program and run it. Unfortunately, it did not solve the problem as described. The LED display is still not appearing on the Multi-panel after the PC is awoken from sleep mode.Regards,Sunnyc

Check and see if your Motherboard has any bios/driver updates. Maybe you have something else that's loaded from keepeing it from awakening. Try right clicking your Saitek gear in device manger /power management and diable allow windows to power this device off. I'm just throwing out ideas.

A lot of Saitek gear doesn't reinitialise properly after resuming from standby, the only way to resolve it is to unplug and re-plug the USB cable. This is a driver issue (no surprise its Saitek after all) not a motherboard issue.

Cheers, Andy.

Did you uninstall the saitek mess, I mean drivers?
I tried uninstalling the driver, unplugged all the Saitek devices, rebooted, then re-installed the lastest Saitek driver (ver 6.6.6.3), and then plugged back all the Saitek devices.Unfortunately, the problem is still there. Just would not show the LED display after a PC sleep mode.Only way is to unplug the muli-panel and reconnect again as suggested above. Thanks anyway.Regards,Sunnyc

I had a look at the Human Interface item in the Device Manager and only the Saitek Yoke and Rudder pedal devices appear. No Multipanel device. Anyway, the Saitek Yoke device does not have the Power Management option tab.The mulipanel does work on awakening, but only the LED display does not appear. Maybe the unit is faulty. Do you experience the same problem?Regards,Sunnyc

Hi,If I were you I would forget about the saitek drivers, Spad divers are way much better. Why do you need the PC sleep function when running FSX? when I've finished flying I switch off my computer!!Next time my PC falls asleep, I will wake it up and launch FSX and the saitek panels and report back.Take care

SunnyC I just checked on my setup and I get the same indications as you. I don't use Saitek drivers either. I also stopped SPAD and reinitialized it to see if it might reawaken the LED and no joy. Might be a Mpanel firmware issue then.

Thanks for trying. Looks like I am not the only one having this problem.Sunnyc

I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled the latest version. Same problem.

Thanks. This problem is now in the hands of the Australian importer who I hope will refer back to the manufacturer.

"If the Australian importer is who I think it is, lots of luck.I fly the Citation Mustang ( IMHO the best add-on plane in FSX ).After each flight in the Mustang I have to restart my computer in order for the complex Mustang to initialize correctly.
