Saitek Multi-panel LED display

Featured Replies

I have had this problem with Saitek components and have managed to solve it by doing the following:Access "Control Panel"Right click on the item Click "Troubleshoot"This causes the system to review the performance of the item. In my system it detected that the USB device had failed to wakeup after the system awoke from sleep. At this point I had the option to tell the system to automatically "reset" the USB device each time the system awakes from sleep mode.I hope this works for you.RegardsDanny

Danny thanks for the heads up on this fix in Windows 7, one of my two Saitek throttle quadrants would not initialise (power light stays off) when coming out of standby, its now fixed thanks to this tip, cheers.

Cheers, Andy.

I'm running Win 8.1 and FSX with Acceleration (so SP1 and 2 included). All my controls (switch panel, radio panel and multi-panel) work fine except that the LED display on my multi panel display does not work (except for the backlight). However, when I change the heading or altitude etc. on the multi-panel, the values change on the FSX cockpit and the airplane reacts accordingly. All of this, despite getting the "cannot access FSUIPC" error - which I ignore. If I could just get the multi-panel display to work. Anyone out their had this exact experience and resolved it?

Try another USB-connection on your PC , try the USB-Hub on your Throttle-sidewall or try to connect an external USB-Hub with additional electic feeding. I got

some problems too, but I never could explain the reason for them. I can only advise : stop thinking and start trying as you can not expect any help from the producer.

IMO Saitek produces fine hardware (look for price-quality ratio) but you have to tweek sometimes.

By the way, if all your sliders  are on the right side try some moderation, perhaps that helps.

I gave you some strange tips, hope you have succes.

I've tried different USB ports and I am currently using the USB hub on the yolk, which is not powered. So I am going to try the powered USB hub. What do you mean by "sliders" and "moderation". Thanks for your help.

Saitek devices do tend to push the power limits for USB.  I found numerous small problems with my radio and multi-panel went away when I went to a quality powered hub.

Good luck,

Scott

By sliders I mean the setting sliders in FSX. If you set them to the max (=right side) try the effect after sliding them to the left. FSX can do strange things to your hardware; try it aand you will know it!

Guys, i have great news i have also been where you all are i bought the saitek multi panel for my xplane 10 setup everything worked but the display i searched to fix this and it was all the same try unplugging the usb then back in again or go into device settings and turn off power options. i tried spad and the saitek drivers nothing worked but i finally found a way and tested it many times it works every time now, here is what i did i installed the saitek drivers that came on the disc after install i went to install location and opened the multi panel test it will recognize the buttons you press but wont show anything on display here is what you have to do while still in the test unplug the usb and plug back in you should instantly see the display work it will flash a bunch of diff numbers now while your in the test stay in it and open xplane or fsx whatever sim u play but make sure you didnt exit the test once you make it into the game fully as meaning you are on a runway turn on your avionics and battery and now finaly exit the test while you are now in xplane or fsx it worked for me and i hope it works for you the sad part is you have to go through this process everytime but hey if you were like me you were worried sick you just invested in 130 bucks that barely works well now you can play your sim with a fully working multi panel

oh and just in case you were wondering my os is windows 8.1
