January 15, 201115 yr I have both of these aircraft. The Flight 1 MD80 is modelled well, but the cockpit by comparison to the CLS MD80 is now looking a little dated. The Developers of the orignal did a free update from the FS9 model to FSX and also uprated the cockpit- very generous.By choice I did find myself flying the CLS model frequently and the original MD80 not at all. The reason, I don't get a lot of time these days with so many other distractions to significantly spend a lot of pre planning time - I do have ISG gauges though and might up the CLS ante with them in the future. Subsequently with the purchase of ORBX sceneries over XMAS, and the deals on offer I am now flying the IRIS Diamonds DA40 - DA42 around a lot over this fantastic scenery in Aussie and PNW

Yes but the version you are referring to is their older classic MD80 version, which IMO theCLS MD80 version compares well to. As this Coolsky version does not have a textured cockpit,There's is also no FMS or EFIS displays etc. Because of the lack of texturing, its cockpit it has sort of a cartoonish look to it. So although that MD80 version may have more on the systems side thanthe CLS version does, the look of its cockpit lags behind.I have that version, it is a good product (though if you into systems the Pro version (which is $54.95) with the FMSis probably more up your alley, or really the Leanardo SH MD80 is worth checking out). IMO the CLS MD80 compares close to this Coolsky version, I see no problem with them both being about the same price. I do have both, I use this Coolsky version in FS9, and the CLS version in FSX.Regards.Ernie.
January 15, 201115 yr I think their MD80 is their best release followed by their 747. I own the 767 and DC10 as well but neither of them really clicked with me. The 767 was a little too light more me and I wasn't a big fan of the DC10's VC. I am really looking forward to an updated DC10. If its anything like their MD80, I think it will be a hit.
